(a) Suppose a two-way switch logic needs to be implemented in a staircase of a building, where a lamp can be controlled by two switches. You are required to analyze below conditions, and provide a PLC based system capable of operating according to the below mentioned conditions • If both the switches are in same state, i.e., both are off or both are on, then lamp will be in "ON" state. If anyone of the switches is "ON" and other is "OF", then lamp will be in "OFF" state. When the lamp is OFF, users can turn it on by changing the state of either switch 1 or switch 2. • Likewise, when the light is ON, users can turn off the light by changing the state of one of the two switches. Suppose you are required to control a motor ON, OFF operation with two push buttons using PLC. Control System should work according to following conditions: When motor is off, and 1" push button is pressed, motor will start and stay in on state even after release of push button. When 2nd push button will be pressed, motor will turn off and will remain in off state until 1" push button is pressed again.

Question

(a) Suppose a two-way switch logic needs to be implemented in a staircase of a building, where a lamp can be controlled by two switches.

You are required to analyze below conditions, and provide a PLC based system capable of operating according to the below mentioned conditions

  • • If both the switches are in same state, i.e., both are off or both are on, then lamp will be in "ON" state.
  • If anyone of the switches is "ON" and other is "OF", then lamp will be in "OFF" state.
  • When the lamp is OFF, users can turn it on by changing the state of either switch 1 or switch 2.
  • • Likewise, when the light is ON, users can turn off the light by changing the state of one of the two switches.

Suppose you are required to control a motor ON, OFF operation with two push buttons using PLC. Control System should work according to following conditions:

  • When motor is off, and 1" push button is pressed, motor will start and stay in on state even after release of push button.
  • When 2nd push button will be pressed, motor will turn off and will remain in off state until 1" push button is pressed again.
