World War II was a historical event for America. It helped changed and shaped the world into what it is today. Some good, some bad. Things I am going to talk about today are the reasons why World War II happened in the first place. There are many reasons but the few I chose are anger over the Versailles Treaty, The Great Depression, and the goals of Hitler and the Nazi Party. I will explain in great detail how all of these caused World War II. The first one I am going to be talking about is anger over the Versailles Treaty. The Treaty of Versailles ended World War I but it was also the reason World War II started less than twenty years later. It was because of how harshly it treated Germany after the World War I and Germans were furious about
The causes of World War II are the Great Depression, the Treaty of Versailles, the Japanese Expansion, fascism, appeasement, and hitler and the nazi party.
The main reasons behind world war 2 World were land, fascism, and natural resources. World war 2 started off between Germany,Britain,France,Italy, and the Soviet Union later joined by America and Japan. World war 2 started September 2,1939 to September 2,1945 and was the most deadliest war in history with more than 30 countries resulting in more than 50 million military and civilian deaths. One main reason was land. After world war 1 Germany lost some of their land for war costs and it was used to make new countries. When Hitler came into office, he said he would get it back so Germany conquered Austria, Sudentanland, and started on Poland when Britain and France declared war. H-Hitler used his idea as dictator to take back land lost in world
There are many stories of many tragedies, loses, and sadness that was in and followed World War II. To start, there were many ways the war impacted America and it changed American home life. There were many people who gave their lives to the war from America and other countries. A cause of the war was the stock market crashed. This led to very dark times for America. As you can see, many people all over the world suffered from this disagreement between countries.
Germany also had been blamed for starting WW1 and this caused Germans to become enraged because they had many consequences from the treaty. Most Germans thought that the Treaty of Versailles is unfair and evil and they found it to be a humiliation. They did accept the responsibility but they did not really have a choice. Hitler was a German politician who disagreed with the Treaty of Versailles and many people were following his ideas and he wanted to fight back with violence. To the people that followed him he restored sense of pride and self-respect. (Document
World War II happened because of a multitude of things because of the way they dealt with Germany. The start of the war had many things contributing to it. Because of the faulty League of Nations as well as appeasement in European countries, World War II took a turn for the worst, making it the biggest, most deadly, and most impactful war in history. The League of Nations was one thing that contributed to the start of World War II.
Undoubtedly, humanity and modern civilization would have never reached their current form with the research. Research is the key element behind any type of evolution and progress. Contemporary, broadly established theories, varying from the understanding of the universe to the revelation of human evolution, are the result of valuable innovations in different fields of science and technology. Every day life has been simplified due to the constant advance of knowledge and discoveries. However, none of this would be possible without constant research. Therefore, and since research is vital to the development of human civilization, the need to augment and supplement current research methods has become apparent. Even though research outcomes
World War II was possibly the most significant period of the 20th century. “It brought about major developments in technology and laid the groundwork that permitted post-war social changes including the end of European colonialism, the civil rights movement in the United States, and the modern women’s rights movement, as well as the programs for exploring outer space” (History.net). On September 1st 1939, Hitler began World War II by invading Poland and on September 3rd, Britain and France declared war on Germany. America wasn’t in the involved in the war until December 7th, 1941, when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor.
World War II plays a very important part in the history of the world. It still has effects that we deal with today. So, what events could have possibly started such a monumental world war? Well, the events are: World War I, Great Depression, expansion of imperialism, Versailles Treaty, and the rise of Germany. This was a dangerous chain reaction of events that lead to the devastating effects of the war.
American history retells World War II (WWII) stories about heroes, and their contribution to the success in ending the conflict between Japan and the United States (U.S.). The U.S. Military’s attempt to seize key islands in the South Pacific seem futile as Japanese Imperial Intelligence Teams (JIIT) monitored U.S. communications systems. Messages intercepted by the JITT compromised U.S. Military synchronization activities, putting their efforts and the lives of American Soldier’s at risk. The Navajo Code Talker program is the U.S. Marine Corps’ solution to secure communications.
In his book The Best War Ever: America and World War II, Michael Adams tries to dissolve the many misconceptions of World War II. As the title of the book implies, The United States left the war with a great optimistic view of the these “glorious” five years. The United States as a population had been tricked into believing in the, at times, fabricated conditions of its history that had been presented to people as some beautiful stories and myths where nations are viewed as being first-rate in union and morality. These so-called myths were created out of several factors. Because of Hollywood, the vast amounts of government propaganda, and far-reaching economic prosperity, Americans were, for the most part, hidden from the real truth of The Second World War. In this period of time, even, the generation of the Second World War is seen as being top-notch in morality and unity. There was a popular misconception held that there were no problems in terms of ethnicity or gender; it seemed that families were living contented lives and children excelled in school and read all kinds of books (115).
On December 7, 1941, with Japanese attack on Perl Harbor, all debate over avoiding war and the policy of American isolationism was gone. It was the beginning of a great war that brought death, devastation and finally the victory and power to United States. At the time of Roosevelt’s appointment in 1933, historically crucial events were taking place in Japan, Italy and Germany which had to shape the future and the fate of United States. This paper studies and analyses the major factors which contributed to American success both at home and abroad during WWII in addition to world’s view about American participation in war and bombings on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
The United States, also known as the land of the free and the home of the brave. The United States has been an icon for freedom and integrity for generations before us and is bound to have written in various texts around the world. The United States has done its best to do the right thing throughout the world. It believes itself to be the one to fix the issues that are happening in the world around them as an act of kindness and justice. In the first World War, when Britain was falling and the German troops were right on the horizon, American President at the time, chose to involve us in a war that had originally not been our own. At the time of 1917, President Woodrow Wilson admitted us into the campaign as a show that we would take a stand against the German Empire. The country did the same at the year of 1941 in World War II, only after Japan had initiated an attack on American soil. As seen from these two occurrences, America only then would involve themselves in foreign affairs when it was necessary to do so and where they were involved themselves.
The treaty of Versailles was a very important factor for the break out of war. The treaty took away land from Germany and gave it to Poland, France and Britain. This land included the colonies that Germany had in Africa that was given to France and Britain. It made Germany pay huge reparations that left them in a crisis, and Germany was already in a crisis due to the war which made the germans felt it would stop them from recovering. There were a lot of unemployment and whole families suffered from
Ever since it happened, World War II is considered a stain in history. According to britannica.com World War II started when Germany invaded Poland on September 1, 1939. Germany's dictator, Adolf Hitler, accused Poles of carrying out sabotage operations against German targets. Unfortunately, the war wasn't only in Europe. Japan was at war, trying to gain control of China. The Soviet Union (USSR) invaded Poland and the Polish army was defeated. As a result, the Polish territory is now divided between the Soviet Union and Germany. On October 6, 1939, Hitler offered to make peace, but the UK declined it saying they couldn't trust the present German government. In 1949 Germany, Italy and Japan are now working together as the axis powers. On June
From the Treaty of Versailles, to the rise of Hitler, and the failure of the League of Nations, there were many causes that lead up to World War II. World War I left Germany with many shortfalls, thus leaving them in the hands of the Treaty of Versailles. Rather unfair of a Treaty, this left Germany once again looking for another way out. A country resented by many had no other choice but to feel optimistic toward Adolph Hitlers empty promises… making it substantially simple for him to gain power so quick. Throw in the Great Depression, and you have a vastly unstable world, which the Germans believed Hitler would lead them out of.
