Ever since I remember, I have always enjoyed writing. The fact that I can be able to put together a paper and have someone get my idea just with the first paragraph is mind blowing. Sometimes I can’t express myself through speaking so writing down my thoughts on paper has always been my therapy but also an important thing in my everyday life.
Writing is an important requirement in your everyday life. I am a college student who is taking a few English classes as my requirements and I think it is important to know the basics in writing a research paper or a letter. There are jobs that require that you know the standards of writing. It is a source of communication. Believe it or not, writing can be draining but once I started I actually enjoyed it. I am always trying to improve my writing and become better in my grammar and getting my point across. I still struggle sometimes especially when it comes to analyzing.

I tend to receive good comments which surprises me sometimes since I am still not really confident in my writing. My writing strategy is more free write because I am able to just write down my thoughts.. After taking this class I can say it has helped me stay on top of my papers and how to organized and responsible. I really enjoyed how assignments will help in the essays.
Staying on top of my papers really did help me and having the new software of Canvas with the mode of receiving notifications reminded me of those assignments. It makes it less stressful once the essay is due. I think I have improved my writing but not drastically as I wished but I am not giving up. I think my essay format is way better than previous times. I actually enjoy writing different kinds of paper now. I learned how to analyze a film in an easy
Writing is an essential part of everyday life. Although not everyone shares that same passion for it, there are many reasons as to why we write. In the textbook (The St. Martin's Concise Guide To Writing) we are given the following reasons as to why we write; write to communicate, write to think, write to learn, write to succeed, and write to know yourself and connect to other people. These examples that we are given are pretty straight forward and self explanatory. Not only are you communicating to others, but you are also communicating to yourself through pen and paper. Letting those ideas out in the open helps you think more critically of things that might run through your mind. Writing also helps you understand situations you might be in
Writing has never really been a passion I possess. I wouldn’t go as far to say I hate it, but, I wouldn’t want to say I love it either. For some, writing is a way to escape their own messed up worlds and creates a new, it’s exciting, adventures, and daring, but, to me, writing is such a tedious task that I as a person do not have the patience to withstand. I haven’t always disliked writing; I actually use to enjoy getting all my thoughts down on paper and coming out with my own little masterpiece my parents could hang on the fridge and boast about to their friends. The worst/best paper I ever had to write was in fifth grade; I had to describe my top three very best friends in five paragraphs or more, then let my elbow partner grade it on a scale from 1-6 ( six being the best.) I put my all into that paper; it was going to be my best paper yet.
My expectations of my talents as a writer have increased tremendously after taking this class. When I read through my paper, or someone else's paper, it's not just words on a screen for me anymore. I can actually find grammatical errors, sentence fragments, and comma errors. This is a skill that I never possessed before taking this class. Even with how much I have grown as a writer from the beginning of the year, there is still room for improvement. On all my papers I had at least five small grammatical errors that would cost me
Writing has always been a part of who I am and who I want to be. One of my first and favorite childhood memories in school was a classroom book writing project. Ever since I could write my name, I have kept a journal. In school, I always did well in English and thought I knew quiet a lot about it. However, since taking English Composition and Rhetoric this semester, I have learned that I did not know nearly as much as I thought I did.
Writing and reading for me started really young with me. I was learning to read and write before I was 2. My mom was teaching me and I had a Phonex person come to my house and would help. I was a year younger than almost everybody else in my kindergarten class. I was able to go into school younger because I scored high enough on a test I had to take. I was always reading books when I could when I was young which is why I was able to read bigger words than most kids my age could. I was able to read at a 4th grade level when I was in 1st grade. This all fell in place because my dad was always telling me to read and write when I had free time if I wanted to be better than everybody. When I was younger I always trying to be better
The ways in writing may be important to my career, academics and in the work place is that it is always needed or required. To be a teacher I have to write emails, letters and lesson plans. In the workplace I have to be able to write down a call-in. A call-in is when someone calls to place an order. Writing is very important without writing I would not be able to get through life because somewhere I would have to write something down. Being able to write is a critical skill for my life, career, academics and in the work place.
This year I think I have improved a lot of my writing skills. In my persuasive essay on digital
In order to bring to pass what God has called you to do you have to put it down on paper or on your computer. Keep a note book with you or something to write with at all times. The Lord will speak to you in various places and you need to write it down so you will not forget.
I am a 10 grader and as days go by school keeps getting harder than my ninth grade year but for me it's interesting to enroll many new challenging things like in english we can peruse many types of writing. I had to really challenge myself on reading it was gonna be difficult but i had to overcome it why? well because reading is not my passion or hobby i don't enjoy reading unless its a 100% attractive book. For example the book i read 5 times and only was “The Fault In Our Stars” it was a good amusing book. Other challenges i had was Reading the goldfish story i didn't really understand i had to go back to it that book really confused me.
Writing has always been an important skill for me. Even though I enjoy writing, I always look forward to having my writing at perfection. With the resources I learned, I now have a better understanding for apostrophes, word usage, and essay organization. I hope what I learned from the resource will help improve and write more effectively. Not only it helps students like me to write better in college, but can be an important skill for jobs.
Our handwriting is essential to our individuality. It shows how we want the world to perceive us to be. The quality of my handwriting varies because it’s rarely written in the same style. My handwriting consists of cursive and print because I feel as though certain words I have trouble writing correctly. For instance, my E’s, A's, F’s, and S’s are writing in cursive. The different forms of lines I use consists of straight and curvy. I would consider my handwriting to be free-flowing because when I incorporate cursive letters with print, the curvy lines within the cursive letters touch, therefore, the letters are close together. Also, depending on which utensils I’m using the width and size of the content changes. With pencils, my handwriting
Writing is important for the future for many reasons. First of all, writing is used in abundance in college. Furthermore, writing will be very beneficial for any job. Lastly, writing is an excellent form of nonverbal communication since it helps get a point across well.
From taking this course I have been able to improve many of my weaknesses, but there are still some that I need to work on. Overall I am becoming better at not procrastinating as much as I used to. This class has helped me to learn to take the little steps along the way because then there will not be as much work to do towards the end. This has also made me realize that the final product of my writing will turn out better because it will have had more time to develop, which means that there would have been more opportunities to proofread. I think by learning many styles of writing, such as paraphrasing, summarizing, analyzing, and researching; it has enabled me to be able to write more broadly. By knowing how to correctly use all of these kinds of writing styles, it will help me in the future for other classes because I will have the knowledge that I need to write these types of papers. I still procrastinate sometimes, but not as much as I used to. I will be able to improve on this as time goes along because I will become more motivated by seeing the end result, which usually would be better grades.
Writing is a subject that can be interpreted in many ways in life. Writing has been essential in the advancement of humanity. I have grown up using writing as a foundation to do everything.
