America houses the home of many, offering unlimited opportunity and equality for all. This nation unifies together, people of every sort from all around the world. These qualities are what sets America apart from all other countries. The people in America demonstrate their love for this country by the sacrifices they make to protect it. The people who came before us laid the foundation of our nation down and risked their lives while doing it. We will never know in full how much they sacrificed for us and because of this we can only do so much to thank them. In America everyone is greeted with an opportunity to do and try new things. As well as getting the opportunity to choose who you love, where you work, and what you do with your life. It doesn’t matter how old you are or how young you are, everyone gets an opportunity. We stand among the principle of opportunity as a way to motivate and cultivate are people to do what they love and try something new. This to me is a very special thing to have in your country, as in some countries they don’t get big opportunities …show more content…
Our Founding Fathers sacrificed everything they had to lay down the laws of our country and fight for independence. Our fantastic and fearless military and navy sacrifice their lives daily for the safety and freedom of our country and for each individual in America. This is the biggest sacrifice anyone could ever make and to constantly know that we are protected is a huge blessing. On our East Coast trip four students were chosen to lay a wreath at Arlington National Cemetery honoring those who have died in the rage of war. I was one of the four to be chosen and I took this as an opportunity to honor those who have sacrificed their lives for the benefit of others. Our country would be a completely different place if it were not founded upon sacrifice, and for this reason I give thanks for the people that have sacrificed everything for a free
One often misinterprets the true meaning of war, believing it is only a dispute that is ended through fighting. In fact, war is more than just fighting. It is a battle where many brave souls lose their lives for protecting the country they love. Many of the rights we have today would not have been possible without the sacrifice of many brave American soldiers. Instead of living in a tranquil and prosperous nation, we could be living in a nation that resembles countries such as Africa, living under poor conditions and extreme poverty. It is imperative to take into consideration that the veterans we have today have made an impact on our nation and we owe much of our respect to them. Not many people have the courage to take on the heavy and overwhelming duty of going to war, knowing that death is imminent. Along with that, many of them have experienced traumatizing moments that have scarred them for life. Because of this, there is much appreciation and respect inclined towards
My grandpa’s both entered the Vietnam War and were brave protecting and severing our country. They wanted freedom but they wanted the kind of freedom where you have to listen to the laws but you get the rights you deserve. My grandpa lost some very good friends in the Vietnam War but they are honored for their good serve and for protecting our nation. Every year we get fireworks to honor all the veterans that are living and the ones that past.
Everything our country has to be thankful for is because of you. You fight for our rights, for our freedom. You are the foundation of our country. People may forget how privileged they are. They forget you risk your life. There is not many places in the world where men and women who they have never met will fight, with their lives, to grant the rights for the people. They forget what America stands for. They forget why American is so great. They forget that not many other people in the world have that privilege to birth given rights . You protect and defend Americans' freedom and way of life. You have fought for our country, veterans and flag. You risk your time. The time you get to spend with your family, so we are able to spend it with
America is a land of freedom and opportunities. Many people from all around the world travel to come live in America. These people do this because they might not have the same chances of being able have a better lifestyle in their other country. Having limited opportunities in your country is bad, which is why America provides uncountable opportunities that makes America a land of opportunities. Another example that shows that America is a land of freedom and opportunities is that freedom in America is great.
A thank you is owed to the Sons of Liberty for the sacrifices they gave for the sake of the American citizens and their daily freedoms. They gave up their liberty to walk down the street without having to constantly look over their shoulder to make sure there were no British soldiers in sight. Rather than just staying in the shadows, they all showed their faces. To prove that they would not buckle under pressure, they wrote a list of every member’s name. Like most everyday hero, these members never backed away from a battle.
Around 110,000 troops on both ends of the war were killed. While many of our men died for this cause it was all in order to help the societal and political views along with peoples lives that were on the line. (D-Day: a fight to the death, 2009). Many mothers lost their sons, daughters lost their dads, wives, lost their husbands. Many families went through a tremendous loss and I commemorate them and their loved ones for pushing through the pain and helping this country, this nation, better yet this world become the amazing place that it is today.
The American veterans did a lot for us. If it wasn’t for them we wouldn't be able to do the things we want to do. So appreciate those who serve for us. Think of this as a gift. If you open a gift you are happy. Just like when the Veterans serve for us we are happy. Also when you open the gift you are thankful. Just like when you found out the Veterans served for us you were thankful.
And this is the reasons i think that we honor our veterans today. I believe that everyone should be more thankful to the people that die everyday due to trying to make america great
We often take for granted the very things that most deserve our gratitude and the veterans deserve to have gratitude from others. The reason why I am grateful for our nation’s veterans is because without them we would not have peace and freedom in our country. Another reason why I am grateful for our nation’s veterans is because they have fought for us to have a good society instead of a corrupted one. After the veterans return from war they don’t change on how the treat people and not expect anything in return and that is why I am grateful. The nation’s veterans deserve to be celebrated and commemorated for their efforts and sacrifices.
It is important to remember how much of daily life is affected by the work of veterans. Walking on streets, going to school, eating at restaurants, and hanging out with friends all depend on the service of veterans. They may not receive the proper amount of recognition from the younger generations, but their work is appreciated. In actuality, they gained vital information that can be shared with the future generations. They have gained respect and honor for their duty for our
The sacrificed endured by the citizens of this country have no doubt been worth it. The sacrifices we have made have ensure the freedoms and lives of so many people around the world. The war has demanded much of us all, nobody was left unaffected by it. Families have been torn apart; fathers, sons, brothers have all been called upon to defend the rights of others across the world and we must of course commend them for that. I would also like to thank the women of this country for stepping up and becoming the leaders of our communities. Where men have left gaps, women have filled them most admirably. Without the strength and commitment of the women in this
Our heroes make sacrifices. Our veterans make sacrifices because they care about us and they want to protect us from danger, so we can be safe.We should thank them every time we see them to inform them that we care. we should be thankful to each other not hateful.
To my generation I think it is important to thank America because most of the kids these days do not know about the past and do know how good they have it. One of the holidays we celebrate in America is the 4th of July; we celebrate July 4th because it is the day when the Continental Congress approved the Declaration of Independence.
I am very grateful to the generation have sacrificed for the United State. They help me have a good country to live, and a freedom country. I’m not a U.S. citizen but I live in United State and my dream is to become a citizen. I was a Vietnam citizen and i love my country a lot when I was little, when I was grow up I realize that the country I live in is not good like I thought.
Have you ever wondered who severed for us? Also, why did they want to sacrifice their lives to make us a free country? Maybe, they love this country and did not want to give it up.They wanted to keep us free. You will not know unless you read this.
