School is only for the open minded and strong, the weak cannot survive. You may have learned about math, science, social studies, and language arts but only a handful of students actually learn lifelong lessons to be in a productive society. School holds many things in its classrooms and hallways. Having great teachers and mentors will benefit you in school. Their wisdom and knowledge will contribute to you in ways unimaginable. School can teach you plenty and these are a couple of the many of things I have learned over the 3 years I have attended Eagles Landing Middle School. To begin, I was always a spoiled rotten "know it all" and none of my teachers could tell me I was wrong without me having to be disrespectful and …show more content…
After this accident every time Rontavious would have something rude to say I would ignore him and that made him upset and he learned to leave me alone. In addition, Ms.Scott taught me to show kindness to everyone that crosses my path because kindness turns an inch into a mile. Growing up as the baby in the house I received everything I wanted and didn't have to share anything Because everything went my way when I said so and nobody could change that. Selfish is one word that could have described me at a younger age. When nobody believed in me Ms.Scott took a chance and brought me under her wing and taught me it was acceptable to embrace my feelings and emotions. For example if someone needs a pencil and you have one to share gladly offer it to them because it will build on your reputation and if you don't have that you don't have anything. Kindness will take you very far in life. Take Dr.Suess The Grinch Stole Christmas into consideration, the Grinch was foul and disgusting because no one ever loved him, showed him any kindness and that slowly but surely ate him from the inside out. Cindy Loue was the towns innocent sweetheart and she was also the first person to show the Grinch kindness and that small act of kindness went a long way and warmed his little evil heart. In conclusin, school holds many things school can provide you with ample opprotunties and these are just a few things iv'e
Schools are the places where the children shape their personalities and behavior.A School is also a special place where small kids and even teenagers meet people from all different situations, backgrounds and all walks of life.A school is a place where kids get to determine their future and what they want to do in life.Kids will be thrown into a mix of people they don't know and have to work together. This is good for them because it sets them up for the future when they have to deal with people from the real world.
Attending high schools should be more than just exposing students to a structured curriculum. High school should also be a place where students are allowed to think outside of the box. Schools should inspire creativity, sparks curiosity, and fuels ambition.
For many students, going to school is more than just a part of the daily routine. A lot of students see their role in school as an importance to their life, but as well to their future success. Many of us have gotten told by parents or teacher that school is an important
School is a crucial part of a person’s life due to the amount of knowledge and successability a person might gain in their future. School can also be a place where students can interact with their fellow friends, but for others it can be a traumatizing place due to the amount of stress and also responsibility they might carry . This can be because of the stress teachers may put on the students. This can lead to students not giving their full effort on school, which will cause them to be mediocre students, and they wouldn’t be able to show their teacher the true potential they carry within themselves. These types of students are the one’s who are typically the students that aren’t successful in school. They just don’t
With so much of my focus set on finding new friends, I never really thought about the academic side of school. In elementary school, I was always smart enough to never have to do anything, which as you can imagine set up fantastic studying skills. 6th grade was easy enough, but seventh grade my grades were blighted. Learning these skills was very difficult, and in fact didn't happen until way later at the end of my middle school career. I had to work very hard to maintain the A average I was used
As a Salem Freshman, I was required to take a “Signature” Salem class; a class that was “signature” to Salem and Salem alone. These classes were chosen based on a survey given to students before they get their schedules and all of them are rather “worldly”. At the time, I was unaware that the this “Sign” Classes were fully graded and fleshed out classes. I simply chose a class that sounded incredibly interesting without thinking about how well I would actually perform in that field. I chose a class that offered to challenge the way I think about others and how they think; a class that could help me understand people more by showing me how they come to believe things. Despite my initial confusion and eventual grade, I admit that I don’t regret taking the class because what I learned in that classroom was something I don’t believe I would have ever experienced otherwise.
School is a place that a very young age you 're made to attend on a daily basis to get good grades and learn new subject matter to have a bright future and a fulfilling lifestyle. School is also a place where you are taught to believe that it is a safe place to be around in and that the staff and security (if there is any) are there to protect you and make you feel comfortable enough to approach them if any issue arises from within yourself or another
Learning that school is something to be glad about was one aspect I will never forget. School helps spark and form the character of discovery in one’s mind. To find problems in the world’s society and attempt to fix them so future generations will not be forced to make that same mistake. Other than social media, education is the most powerful tool to train an adolescent’s mind. Coming from the Nobleboro Central School I have this story. The first trimester was a long one, I had never presented a project before and didn’t know the first thing about talking out loud in front of a class. Also, my English was considerably bad with papers handed in, in rough draft form. My English is still a little rusty, although my past teachers have guided me past the few trimesters preparing me for an average High School paper. Concludingly, the first trimester of public school was a real learning experience with mostly a C average in most of my classes which left room for improvement. The second trimester I had an understanding of school and was trying more and more on improving how I could understand teachers. This time of education at public school was the aha moment wherein I could explore the true reasons of presentations, tests and open book exams. The third and final trimester was a matter of consistency in grades. Because of this, most of my trimester average grades were in the B+/A range. Thankfully, because of this I had finished the 8th grade with most subjects having a yearly average of a
Remembering how school was for me always makes me think of my mother. I never wanted to leave the house, as she was severely ill. I never wanted to leave for long periods of time. I would always think the worst in the back of my mind, What if? What if she needed a drink of water and was unable to get it? What if she had an episode and was unable to get to the phone? What if the worst was to happen and I got back home to my mother not ever being there. This was a challenge for me daily. School was all right and all, I did enjoy going to school with my sister every morning. I savored the time I was able to spend with my friends. I also greatly enjoyed learning, it always seemed to be fairly easy. I ended up earning my GED my Sophomore year because
School is supposed to be a safe environment for a student to a student to learn. It can also serve as a shelter to keep kids off the street and away from negative influences such as crime. Especially in the inner city urban areas where gangs, drugs, and violence may sway kids to do the wrong things. Also in today’s society it is difficult to find jobs. There are many people that graduated from college with degrees who still have not found their ideal job.
When I was a kid, school for me was waking up early in the morning. I also have to study a lot in school, then after school I have to do homework. I remember my first day at school. My mom and dad, both were so happy and prepared but I was so nervous and cheerless. I didn’t like to wake up early in the morning for school , but as time flew by I started loving school which made me wake up with energy instead of tiredness. I began to enjoy the school as I made new friends and I got to know how it is like when you meet people out of your neighborhood. With my friends I had lunch together and study together. I started to understand what the purpose of the education system. Based on what I understood I think the purpose of education is really aimed at helping students get to the point where they can learn to be on their own. In this journey of education I had a lot of positive and few negative experiences, but the negative experiences also helped me growing. Positive experiences are my teachers helping me improve, and I improved more when I moved to the United States.
When people start high school they’re usually so excited. They can’t wait to experience everything that comes with being in high school, I mean who wouldn’t? Everyone says that high school is the best four years of your life. Now that I’m months away from graduating, I can’t say they were my best years but I can say they were my most educational years, of course I wouldn’t say that they weren’t fun because they were. When I say educational, I mean I’ve learned so much about myself and so much about life. I learned what the words family, love, betrayal, law and life meant. All these events changed me, and I’m glad they happened because I wouldn’t have learned all these lessons. My personality hasn’t changed; I’m still a carefree girl,
Time and time again I've found myself declaring education as the central pillar of my growth and development, that of which has been consistent throughout my life and educational career. From the age of 8 I've attributed school and learning as a way to escape the outside world, both willingly, and as an involuntary coping mechanism; school was a refuge, a safe place where I could build healthy relationships and escape my worries. I felt valued by my teachers, and I was given opportunities to contribute to a community, and for the first time felt autonomous- and that I could control my future.
School, to me and among many peers of my age, is not a distant term. I have spent one-third of my life time sitting in classrooms, every week since I was seven years old. After spending this much time in school, many things and experiences that happened there have left their mark in my memory. Some are small incidences while some have had a great impact on me. However, regardless the degree of significance, things that happened all contributed to shape the person that I am now.
School basically makes your future. Which is why if there are more school days, it can help children understand, and learn new things. This can help make kids who are having a hard
