There are various learning techniques such as visual, hearing, and hands on. We all have a specific niche that suits us best. As an enrolled student, I believe it is of great significance to find which strategy we can benefit from the most. I want to walk away from a course knowing I gained the knowledge I need to suffice in life. I have begun to realize this is not a step that happens overnight. I have both strengths and weaknesses in all three categories. Though, I can retain the most information through visual learning. A good technique for visual learners like myself, would be taking notes or making flashcards. This gives students the opportunity to go back and recollect information at any point in time. For me, when taking a test I
I am a visual learner, so I would like to be able to see and read the materials. I learn best by seeing demonstrations and I enjoy hands on activities.
Nike globally is one of those most well-known sportswear brands, as seen being wore by the NFL and other professional sports leagues. Gender equality among the depiction between men and women. This is a picture of my BIC card and is what I get as a Medi-Cal recipient, and the other picture is my new insurance card. I chose this picture for government health programs because the department of Health and Human Services are where they provide Medicare and Medicaid. The department of Health Care Services is where they administer Medi-Cal, which is what I have. It is the nations largest Medicaid program and many Californians have it. It pays for almost half of all births in California, and a little more than half of all the revenues in California hospitals. Medi-Cal, which is what I have offers essential health benefits similar to what Covered California offer. When I visit the doctors or is taken to the emergency room, my expenses are
There are many ways of learning. Every person learns differently. However, it is irrefutable that everybody learns via actions. In Coates novel, Between the World and Me, he discusses his education through living in the world opposed to just reading about it. The knowledge you earn from experiencing is in my opinion way more worthwhile than the knowledge you receive from a classroom.
So, I am sure there are some of us out there that have seen in a magazine or on a commercial or in some sort of advertisement a bulked out muscle head or in other words, the body of perfection that most could only hope to achieve by going to the gym. Next to that a promotion for a brand new state of the art bodybuilding supplement called PumpHD that was formulated and created by BPI Sports and the product is supposed to physically make you look and feel stronger. The very next day the decision is made to research this new product and get on the computer and go to their website. First thing they make sure we see is the home page with big, bold, and colorful letters that have the name and
Learning is a hard thing to do in some cases. It is never just an instructor teaching you that particular topic and learning it automatically. Over time I realize there are quirks to think about when learning specific subjects. For example in The Mind at Work, instead of finding research the
Ashley, I am A visual learner who strengths are memorizing information from my INFT124 course and it allows me to quickly remember simple and complex facts that relate to my course assignments. I have learned while in college that the best ways for me to learn are by being able to see or write down something because it is something that I can review and still be able to grasp the concept when it is needed for a test. This strategy was helpful when I was in my English and math class. The second thing that also helps is viewing models because there is something that is tangible which makes it so much easier for me to be able to learn this is the strategy that I used while in my biology. The help of peers has also helped me with my learning process as well because there is not as much pressure when going up and talking to the teacher about what is wrong.
The first painting depicts a young woman lying in a field on a farm in what appears to be an awkward position. She may be experiencing some type of internal or emotional pain which may have temporarily halted her ability to move. The field is very close to what one might assume is her home. The painting appears very somber and melancholy and I would hypothesize the young woman is longing for something she might have recently loss; possibly a relationship or significant material possession. The woman gazes towards the house as if she is waiting for something. The colors in the painting are very neutral and the feelings provoked are those of sadness. Another hypothesis could be she is pondering her life path and struggling to
Approaching a new course one can have the confidence that they will be successful by maintaining an open mind to the material that is being introduce by their instructor. In doing so the student will master a new subject as well as be introduced to new thoughts and ideas pertaining to the material. Most importantly there is a higher rate of success in the class which leads to a more favorable outcome.
Learning Methods Course. Tuckman and Kennedy (2011) compared a group of 702 freshman college students at a large mid-western university: half of the students took a learning methods course, and half of the students did not take the course. The purpose of the course was to assist students with increasing accountability, self-esteem, learning modality, readiness skills, and managing their personal responsibilities. Data from the study concluded that students who completed the methods course had a higher rate of persistence towards academic achievement, and graduated at a higher rate than the students who did not take the course. I am definitely a visual learner, I enjoy using pictures, graphs, and being able to highlight major and minor links. For example, whenever I would start a new position for a job, I would need to go thru training, I would learn the new position from a hands on perspective, I learned and asorbed more by being able to do the job then just by watching someone else do there job. During the training I would need to sit and watch how that person did there job and would take notes on what I was learning by sitting with that person. I also learned by being able to sit at there desk and watch me do the job and provide me helpful feedback. However, being a visual learner I struggle during exams, not recalling test material that was heard in a lecture.

My preferred learning style is auditory. I can use mnemonic devices, such as flash cards with audio to my advantage in school. The repetition of the flash cards would help me in science where there is lots of information to remember. Reading the information, text, stories, assignments, out loud would help me to fully understand the context. I can also read my drafting work out loud, so that it is less likely to miss any errors. During class, I can ask my teacher more questions or to explain certain concepts.
I think the most effective way of learning for me is visual learning. It is the easiest way for me to learn things. I think that academic honesty is of the most educational philosophies because it allows trust between the student and the teacher. I wish that I had better work ethic but I usually procrastinate on my work. Even when I procrastinate I always get my work done on time. I am a shy person and I don’t really like participating in class discussions. I also don’t really asking questions or sharing ideas with the class because I guess I’m just not that type of person that does that.
