Visual Learning Analysis

I am definitely a visual learner, I enjoy using pictures, graphs, and being able to highlight major and minor links. For example, whenever I would start a new position for a job, I would need to go thru training, I would learn the new position from a hands on perspective, I learned and asorbed more by being able to do the job then just by watching someone else do there job. During the training I would need to sit and watch how that person did there job and would take notes on what I was learning by sitting with that person. I also learned by being able to sit at there desk and watch me do the job and provide me helpful feedback. However, being a visual learner I struggle during exams, not recalling test material that was heard in a lecture.

My learning style remains to be a tactile-kinesthetic learner. I’ve taken numerous learning style tests before and I always have the same results. This implies that I learn best when physically doing a project or activity. It does not mean that if I write items down I will not remember them, I will. My photographic memory is not off, but, it would stick better if I did projects hands-on. It helps to visualize the points I have read or are hearing about to get a better understanding of its background. Therefore, I enjoy creating ideas that will help learn by making displays as well as posters. I even play games to assist myself. While reading or listening to an instructor, I often shuffle my feet around or click my writing utensil. This helps

I have learned while in college that the best ways for me to learn are by being able to see or write down something because it is something that I can review and still be able to grasp the concept when it is needed for a test. This strategy was helpful when I was in my English and math class. The second thing that also helps is viewing models because there is something that is tangible which makes it so much easier for me to be able to learn this is the strategy that I used while in my biology. The help of peers has also helped me with my learning process as well because there is not as much pressure when going up and talking to the teacher about what is wrong.

Nike globally is one of those most well-known sportswear brands, as seen being wore by the NFL and other professional sports leagues. Gender equality among the depiction between men and women. Nike created an advertisement for their new product which challenges the typical view of women. Approaching a new course one can have the confidence that they will be successful by maintaining an open mind to the material that is being introduce by their instructor. In doing so the student will master a new subject as well as be introduced to new thoughts and ideas pertaining to the material. Most importantly there is a higher rate of success in the class which leads to a more favorable outcome.

I have two learning styles that tied. It would be thinking and watching. I knew I was a visual learner but found more about myself that I have imagined. I learned that I like to think while learning and analyzing what is being taught. I am very much a visual learner, when I am in a classroom setting I need to see what we are doing not just a lecture. When its just a lecture my mind wanders and I do not get what was being taught. I only wished more instructors/teachers taught visually. I know this is a weakness of mine so I am going to work on this the best to my ability. This was a very awesome assignment to do I think it helps me understand myself better and I can also, understand others as well better.

Learning Methods Course. Tuckman and Kennedy (2011) compared a group of 702 freshman college students at a large mid-western university: half of the students took a learning methods course, and half of the students did not take the course. I think the most effective way of learning for me is visual learning. It is the easiest way for me to learn things. I think that academic honesty is of the most educational philosophies because it allows trust between the student and the teacher. I wish that I had better work ethic but I usually procrastinate on my work. Even when I procrastinate I always get my work done on time. I am a shy person and I don’t really like participating in class discussions. I also don’t really asking questions or sharing ideas with the class because I guess I’m just not that type of person that does that.
