I am definitely a visual learner, I enjoy using pictures, graphs, and being able to highlight major and minor links. For example, whenever I would start a new position for a job, I would need to go thru training, I would learn the new position from a hands on perspective, I learned and asorbed more by being able to do the job then just by watching someone else do there job. During the training I would need to sit and watch how that person did there job and would take notes on what I was learning by sitting with that person. I also learned by being able to sit at there desk and watch me do the job and provide me helpful feedback. However, being a visual learner I struggle during exams, not recalling test material that was heard in a lecture.
These results show that I am a Visual learner, which means I learn by reading or seeing pictures.
I always thought I was more of a visual learner and more hands-on learner than a verbal learner

In preparation for an exam or in class assignment, studying consists of me to completing a series of math problems over and over and/or reading material multiple times. In the first journal entry it was revealed that I am a visual learner, thus in order to further improve the quality of my learning abilities new strategies have been established. As a result, I include illustrations in some of my notes, pay attention to body language, utilize flashcards while reviewing information and make sure to study where there are no distractions. It is for this reason that I have been able to understand most of the lectures and recitation packets without any issues. However, there is still room for improvement, as I still require a visual aid in order to fully understand a concept, thus I plan on paying special attention to graphs, charts, and diagrams during class. In addition to this, over the years I have learned that
Ever since I was little I have always been able to make pictures and movies in my head. After taking the Edutopia Survey on learner styles, I discovered I was a visual learner. I feel that is accurate because I am one who likes to see with my eyes and touch with my hands. This helps me think better and understand things more clearly. Sonya, I am a visual and kinesthetic learner, which means that I have to see something done and then physically do it with my hands to fully understand the concept. In high school, I had trouble reading something off of the computer and being able to remember it. But if I had actual copy of a textbook in my hand, I was able to pick up and remember the information quickly and easily. It is so cool that we have a few of the same learning styles.
Visual Learners: if you concentrate more on pictorial or graphical information than on words, you put yourself at a distinct disadvantage because verbal and written information is still the main preferred choice for delivery of information. Practice your note taking and seek out opportunities to explain information to others using
I have both strengths and weaknesses in all three categories. Though, I can retain the most information through visual learning.
