I am definitely a visual learner, I enjoy using pictures, graphs, and being able to highlight major and minor links. For example, whenever I would start a new position for a job, I would need to go thru training, I would learn the new position from a hands on perspective, I learned and asorbed more by being able to do the job then just by watching someone else do there job. During the training I would need to sit and watch how that person did there job and would take notes on what I was learning by sitting with that person. I also learned by being able to sit at there desk and watch me do the job and provide me helpful feedback. However, being a visual learner I struggle during exams, not recalling test material that was heard in a lecture.
notes, they will either write it in a different color or they will take detailed notes and go back and highlight the important factors. To help a visual learner organize information they sometimes use a Mind Map. A mind map guide is centered on the topic and includes branches for each related idea. Visual learners learn by seeing. When writing and drawing what they are visualizing, this helps them retain and better process the information being taught. An auditory learner is when a person learns by speaking and hearing. An auditory learner learns best through lectures. Unlike
When we did the Learning Styles: Modality Preference Inventory worksheet, I scored a 23 in Visual, a 16 in Auditory, and a 23 in Kinesthetic/Tactile. For me, I always had to write things down in order to even come close to remembering it. I also had to actually do what was being done to understand. I always seemed to be both a visual and hands on type of person.

The main characteristics of a visual learner are that they remember what they see, instead of what they hear. They also prefer diagrams, pictures and to read and write rather than listening. This learner is usually good at spelling, but forgets names, and needs to study in quite. Also, they would tune out when they try to pay attention and they would need an overall new and purpose beginning a project.
I also find that I learn well from visuals. I like to see skills being done and then practice it myself. As a visual learner I learn well from demonstration, videos and diagrams. This is true when I practice skilled sports specific movements. I tend to record myself and watch it back in slow motion for feed back.
In the first journal entry it was revealed that I am a visual learner, thus in order to further improve the quality of my learning abilities new strategies have been established. As a result, I include illustrations in some of my notes, pay attention to body language, utilize flashcards while reviewing information and make sure to study where there are no distractions. It is for this reason that I have been able to understand most of the lectures and recitation packets without any issues. However, there is still room for improvement, as I still require a visual aid in order to fully understand a concept, thus I plan on paying special attention to graphs, charts, and diagrams during class. In addition to this, over the years I have learned that

Being a Visual Learner means you like to see what you are leaning. You usually are neat, clean, and learn best through reading and seeing pictures. I guess I should have seen this coming because All of my notes are color coded, I need complete silence when I study since I get distracted by loud sounds, and I get my eyes checks at least twice a year. Also, when I used to play lacrosse my coach would always verbally explain directions to a specific drill then have us do it, but I would never get it right
Stacy, I agree with you on being a visual learner, I also like taking lots of notes, or having handouts which I can refer back to. I do the same thing when it comes to reading, which sometimes hinders me from soaking the information in, that is why I also agree it is important to know your stengths and weaknesses, so you can continue to sharpen your strengths and also learn ways to sharpin your
According to “ Got Style.”, a survey generated by West Virginia department of Education, “visual learners are the most common type of learners.” Visual learning is the transmission of information and ideas using symbols and image. Ever since I was little I have always been able to make pictures and movies in my head. After taking the Edutopia Survey on learner styles, I discovered I was a visual learner. According to the quiz I am more of a visual learner than an auditory or kinesthetic learner. I believe that the quiz is accurate because I normally learn better through seeing something done instead of having to work through a problem or being given a verbal explanation. When I try to study and recall information, I do it best when there is a visual guide for me to use, like a diagram or typed notes, and I tend to perform worse on exams that I have only studied for by listening to a lecture or by doing activities regarding the material. If I have an important English exam to take, I predominantly study important terms and information through the use of visual aids such as flash cards. The test also said that my second best learning type
I have both strengths and weaknesses in all three categories. Though, I can retain the most information through visual learning. A good technique for visual learners like myself, would be taking notes or making flashcards. This gives students the opportunity to go back and recollect information at any point in time. I know that I am a Visual Learner, and everything I learn is through what I see. I learned that I am able to learn through different teaching styles and still learn the necessary information that is being given. Most people can relate to being a visual learner as it helps to see the information and retain it as well. Another type of common learning style is bodily kinesthetic which I feel I also learn well from as well.
