The class of UWP 23 was one of the most important classes for me in order to graduate from UC Davis, that is why the preparation for this midterm. In preparation for this midterm, I have read multiple documents provided by Professor Demchuk and the UWP faculty. I also prepare a framework for the midterm, utilizing the resources provided in order to prove my point of view. How many preparation however, might not be able to make me ready for the midterm. As a student who is easily influence by pressure, the whole process of working on the midterm of stressful for me, before and after it. And the time limit of two hours for me isn’t enough, while I believe that a lot of others might beg differ, since the essay only require 700 words, which is
25. In a science fiction movie, an officer is implementing an experimental process to prevent a catastrophic geologic event affecting a primitive indigenous alien population. A crew of a starship vessel is willing to save him; however, environmental conditions prevent simple extraction. The commander refuses to let the crew extract the officer, proclaiming “the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or in this case, one.” The commander’s conclusion is based on which moral theory?
One easy way to provide feedback and information to parents is to make an online newsletter. My teacher updates her newsletter about once every two weeks and then sends an email to the parents to let them know. The newsletter is on the schools main page, but the bi-weekly reminder is how she communicates the information with parents. In my teachers newsletter she includes a calendar for the month, important school events, like the Thanksgiving Feast. My teacher also includes what the students are learning in class and ways that the parents could help them at home, such as read aloud time, and finding vocabulary words together. The newsletter also has information

The TLE GADOE (2016) states that the Individual Assessment of Number (IKAN) helps to identify student’s basic number knowledge. In contrast, the Global Strategy Stage Assessment (GloSS) assesses a student’s capability to use math strategies and identifies the mental processes students use to answers and solve operational problems with numbers (TLE GADOE, 2016). The assessments consist of a series of interview strategy and number questions which should be administered to individual students which is administered at least three times a year. The students are then assigned an overall Strategy Stage based on their responses to the questions in the interview (TLE GADOE, 2016). The series of questions increase in

A Cooperative Communication link (CC-link) between nodes $v_i$ and $v_j$ is denoted as $\widetilde{v_iv_j}$. As customary, the network topology is represented as graph $G(V,E)$, which denotes the union of all the direct and CC links. Let $\overline{E}$ and $\widetilde{E}$, represent the set of direct and CC links, respectively. Thus, $E = \overline{E} \bigcup \widetilde{E}$. That is, if $v_iv_j \in E$, then $v_iv_j = \overline{v_iv_j}$ if $v_iv_j$ is a direct link and $v_iv_j = \widetilde{v_iv_j}$ if $v_iv_j$ is a CC-link. Similarly, the graph of direct and CC communication are denoted by $\overline{G} = (V, \overline{E})$ and $\widetilde{G} = (V, \widetilde{E})$, respectively.

Before taking this course I had a Dionysian type of thinking. I tended to act on emotion wanting to believe that people in general would not lie to me. That is why I could never be a cop. I also was a firm believer in Jean-Paul Sartre’s idea of existentialism. Existentialism is the idea of, “life is what we make it.” Sartre believed, “life is not what happens, but what we do.”(Detrick) I have lost friends because of this theory. I can only take so much complaining before I finally ask them, “so what are you going to do about the situation?” When they look at me confused I follow up with, “you are the only one who can change your situation.” In my twenty eight years of life I have found people do not like that question or statement. Many do not want to be held accountable for the situation they have put themselves in especially when they continue to stay there. I want to believe everyone has good intension and will not lie, but I do not have sympathy for individuals who complain about situations they choose to put themselves in.

Christian humanism is an intellectual movement in Northern Europe that combined the interest in the classics of the Italian Renaissance with an interest in the sources of early Christianity. It helped pave the way to the protestant reformation by bringing the focus of old Christianity back into modern Christianity, which was a protestant ideal. Erasmus paved the way for Luther’s break with Rome and Catholicism by writing the Handbook of Christian Knight, stating his belief that Christianity should show people how to live good lives on a daily basis, not just to provide believes for them to be saved. This belief was shown also by Luther, it being his belief that a common man should be sanctioned to interpret the bible in his or her own way.
