Slime – This square green mob spawns in swamps and underground, and may drop slime balls aside from the usual experience points when killed. It attacks and moves by hopping. Tiny slimes don’t deal damage and can only push you (which is still dangerous). Larger ones, on the other hand, do attack, but the damage to you isn’t too significant. It’s worth noting here, though, that medium and large slimes split into smaller slimes when hit. Fight multiple slimes with a sword while walking backwards. This will protect you from their attacks. It attacks in two ways: by using a laser (which you cannot dodge), and by extending the spikes found on its body. When killed, it may drop raw fish as well as prismarine crystals and shards. There’s also a chance that it will drop raw salmon, pufferfish, or clownfish. The elder guardian is bigger and more powerful than a guardian. Aside from the two attacks mentioned above, it can also inflict mining fatigue on you. This will make it more difficult for you to escape from it and from death because you’ll break blocks more slowly. When killed, it may drop items similar to that of the guardian, along with a wet sponge. Use an invisibility potion. Using this potion won’t really render you invisible to a guardian – its eye will still follow you – but it won’t attack. Move out of a guardian’s sight range to escape. A guardian and elder guardian can deal high damage to you, so more often than not it’s better to avoid being attacked by them.
