Identify what you consider to be the most significant thing you learned this week. I learned to seek good not evil, that you may live. In The New Interpreter’s Study Bible page 1286.” seek good and not evil, that you may live; and so the LORD, the God of hosts, will be with you, just as you have said.” (Amos 5:14, 2003). Israelites were doing evil over good, which make the LORD to be angry to them. They were worship gods and killed each other. They turned the kingdom of God to their own kingdom and they did not listen what God said to them.

How does this learning impact your personal and/or professional life? In other words, has your understanding and/or former practice been challenged or affirmed? In my personal life, sometime I choose evil over good to protect myself. For example, when I made mistake and, I after that I know it is going put me in trouble I lie about it to protect myself. I know it is not good to lie, but I do it for myself. When this happen I ask God forgiveness, but it is hard to tell people what I have done which it makes me feel guilty of what I have done. In future I am going to try not to do evil when I know it is evil and try to do good. Sometimes I do evil to protect myself, but hurt someone feelings which makes me feel guilt all the time. Sometimes, I ask forgiveness but I will not feel comfortable for what I have done wrong and I knew it was wrong. The Bible NIB page 959 said.” Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your doings from before my eyes; cease to do evil, learn to do good; seek justice, recue the oppressed, defend the orphan, plead for the widow.” (Isaiah 1:16-17, 2003) as these verses said, I would like to clean myself and remove all my evil doing front of LORD and learn to do good.
