Identify what you consider to be the most significant thing you learned this week. I learned to seek good not evil, that you may live. In The New Interpreter’s Study Bible page 1286.” seek good and not evil, that you may live; and so the LORD, the God of hosts, will be with you, just as you have said.” (Amos 5:14, 2003). Israelites were doing evil over good, which make the LORD to be angry to them. They were worship gods and killed each other. They turned the kingdom of God to their own kingdom and they did not listen what God said to them.
How does this learning impact your personal and/or professional life? In other words, has your understanding and/or former practice been challenged or affirmed? In my personal life, sometime I choose evil over good to protect myself. For example, when I made mistake and, I after that I know it is going put me in trouble I lie about it to protect myself. I know it is not good to lie, but I do it for myself. When this happen I ask God forgiveness, but it is hard to tell people what I have done which it makes me feel guilty of what I have done. What is the value of what you have learned? Seeking good not evil is very important to our daily

In future I am going to try not to do evil when I know it is evil and try to do good. Sometimes I do evil to protect myself, but hurt someone feelings which makes me feel guilt all the time. Sometimes, I ask forgiveness but I will not feel comfortable for what I have done wrong and I knew it was wrong. The Bible NIB page 959 said.” Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your doings from before my eyes; cease to do evil, learn to do good; seek justice, recue the oppressed, defend the orphan, plead for the widow.” (Isaiah 1:16-17, 2003) as these verses said, I would like to clean myself and remove all my evil doing front of LORD and learn to do good. This would help me to live better life with no regret in my
Please tell me one new thing you learned this week. Detail it so that I know you clearly really understand it well.
Which among the learning theories provided you with new information? How would you apply this in your practice?
I also learned not to lie because it is a dishonest practice and won’t get you far in life. This is similar to Gatsby in The Great Gatsby how he was obsessed with money and lied to people and it came back to bite him. Towards the beginning of the
Looking back at my beliefs before the start of this course, I would have to say I have learned how wrong and misguided I was. I thought I was fairly knowledgeable about older adults, however I came to understand that I had much to
The main argument here is that the knowledge represents for me the basis of my values, from which I learned most things, which in return guided me to the other good values like the honesty, responsibility and accountability. I highly believe that the knowledge is the major source of all other good
For example when I became friends with people from my soccer team they showed me something that I am forever thankful for. I was never a person to go to church. I never understood it. My father is a catholic and my mother was religious to an extend. Since my father didn’t stay with us it was me and my mom and it seemed like we never had time to go to church. When I made friends with my soccer team-mates they brought me with welcome arms to their church. Now this is my church. I’ve learned kindness in a different way now. I treat others in a different light
The data are collected from observation of over 100 patients’ visits, 50 of which were observed and audio taped. The research questions that are asked by Davidson are:
What I have learned really matters to me on a conscious level as it has molded my view of religion as a whole and connected me on a more immediate note with my own beliefs and practices. It has mentally peaked my interest towards
You said take to heart what you are learning and apply the principles your taught,
Throughout the Gospel, Jesus reiterates the importance of cleaning one’s soul, which eventually purifies their intentions. Jesus claims that an individual's intention is at the root of all problems; he makes it the duty of the people to clean their intention because a person cannot hide anything from God. He acknowledges that on the Day of Judgment everything that a person has done will come forth. Any careless actions could prevent a person from entering the Kingdom of Heaven. Therefore, a person with “evil treasures” would not be able to justify all his
Life can indeed benefit from understanding other people 's thought processes and ideas. I am a strong believer that people are, for the most part, shaped by the way they were raised and the ideas that were put into their heads from a young age. I do not believe anyone is born good or evil. These ideas can show that analization of someone’s thoughts and understandings can go a long way. Take the Hitler Youth for example; these children were
Before taking this course, I had no idea that I had a worldview. I know my worldview didn’t change, but my understanding of myself, others and what that means changed enormously. I learned something very useful and important about the way I perceive things and gain knowledge; I learned about things I didn’t know previously.
I learned there are many different ways to counsel. The main thing I learned was that Scripture is superior to anything
Once we recognize God’s true love for us and see the need of looking to Christ to change our hearts rather than trying to do it on our own, we see our need of repentance, which involves a change of direction, turning our back on previous intentions and actions, and seeking new direction in life. Instead of making excuses, blaming circumstances or others, repentance means taking full responsibility. King David, after committing murder and adultery appealed to Christ: "Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me" (Psalms 51:10). He accepted his guilt and asked for a new direction – from Christ.
