The Hunger Games could be looked at from many different points of views as the characters in the book have many different goals and aspirations. I believe Haymitch draws the line as somewhat as an anti-hero type who works for the greater good of couching the tributes. Looking at revolution and rebellion it’s hard to understand is it just or unjust, in most cases it’s unjust but it can be used as a tool for change. In Haymitche’s eye he prefers to try to conceal or suppress the tributes rebellious side. Revolution and rebellion over the years of humanity has played a key role in some of the greatest forward progress or in turn to suppress another social group. To truly grasp the idea of revolution and rebellion we have to understand what is it and how it affects Haymitch, someone who wants to remain in the middle of everything but also help the tributes.

In a life where one must rebel to stand up for what is right. In a world where there is only one government. In a game to kill or be killed. Who truly has the power? In the novel The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, power is shown in many parts of the book. Although the government is initially successful at controlling everyone’s lives in the Districts, as Katniss’ journey of survival progresses in the Hunger Games, her rebellious actions damage the Capitol’s power. This causes her to prove the Capitol that they do not own her, and she has self-power. Throughout the book, Suzanne Collins portrays that everyone has certain control. Collins uses the Districts, the rebellions, and the Capitol to get this message across to the readers.

The book The Hunger Games, portrays a society where people are treated unfairly based on factors that they cannot control. The people are born into one of 13 districts. There lives vary drastically based on where they are born. Someone born in the Capitol has a completely different life than someone born in district 12. A person born in the Capitol lives a wealthy life and is always treated with respect. On the other hand someone born in district 12 has a life of constant back breaking work. They live in poverty and struggle to survive.

If Peeta was never chosen from the reaping would Katniss still have won the games? Was he the reason they became victors, Peeta was the reason Katniss was loved by the people, he made her likable and too, without him she would have lost an ally. Therefor raising the question if Katniss didn’t have Peeta’s presence throughout the games would she just have given up? And too if Peeta wasn’t chosen in the Reaping who else would’ve accompanied Katniss into The Hunger Games and would they have played the same role he did. These are all important questions that come into your thoughts when thinking about this topic.

In the history of cinema, most movies involving a hero 's journey involve mostly the same plot; man gets a call, goes on a journey, gets in a battle or two, and saves the helpless woman from some evil source. The Hunger Games has the same plot as other hero films, but takes a complete turn on the actor encompassing the hero. The hero in this film is a Katniss Everdeen, a poor girl from a dystopian society. In this film Katniss volunteers for her sister to be in the Hunger Games, which is an event where individuals are thrown into an arena where people from twelve districts fight each other to the death for entertainment. Katniss must win the hunger games and make it back to her family. Katniss eventually befriends Peta and they defeat all obstacles and win the Hunger Games together. The Hunger Games is a perfect example of a hero 's journey plot. It follows the steps that any hero journey movie would, including the call, crossing the threshold, a supreme ordeal, companions and mentors, a transformation and the end gift. This film encompasses the classic hero journey plot, with an exception of having a strong female lead instead of male.

The setting in the Hunger Games is not in the past or present, but in the future. The story takes place in District 12 and in a place called the Arena. District 12 is an old and very run down. It is a very; dull place of mines. The Arena is ;where the Hunger Games take place. It is a dangerous and scary place.

This nation once began with 13 districts, until the thirteenth district chose to take action against the oppressors. Ideas of sociology play a big role in people’s everyday lives. Many Books and movies consists of the basic ideas of sociology. The film series, The Hunger Games is an example of such a representative movies. The base story of the series include a society, where people are given little to no rights. In the dystopian film, the totalitarian nation of Panem is divided into 12 districts and the Capital. The Hunger Games Analysis As society takes further steps into an unknown future, we are left to ponder about where are world as a whole is headed. Bright minds have take this one step further. Taking it upon themselves to imagine and create a future that although entirely fictional, may actually one day become reality. From classics such as 1984 and The Giver to modern takes, such as The Maze Runner and Divergent, many authors have tried to depict a future that give of a sense of awe, but is still grounded in reality. Dropping in popularity at the dawn of the 21st century, one particular novel reinvigorated the genre, bringing life back into the dying category of novels.
