The Spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. But God has a Word for us when we are tempted to sin against Him. In 1 Cor. 10:13 (KJV) it is written, “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear

Biblically, it is taught to “not let sin reign...so that [one obeys] its evil desires” (Romans 6:12 ESV). Because human nature is such that it can be manipulated by its wicked desires, there has to be guidance in the Bible in order to help humans overcome their evil nature and follow a life of godliness. After Brown realized the crimes that the respectful persons in his town committed, he gave up his faith in good. Although he refused to become a sinful person as they were, he no longer trusted in others. However, in real world, people are inevitably surrounded by all kinds of temptation.
