Communism is an economical, political ideology that was obtained from Karl Marx, promotes equal ownership of production and has a lack of social classes, and no money. Communism became widespread across most of Europe throughout the late 1800s and aggressive supporters were essential in the amount of unsuccessful rebellion within the continent. Communism was successful in undeveloped countries like the Republic of China and U.S.S.R. This was one of the problems that caused pressure during the Cold War between the US and Russia. The U.S.S.R ambassador George F. Kennan came up with the idea of how to deal with Communism. Essentially, he wanted it to stay where it was but did not want it to spread anymore. One of the policies was a when the first concepts of the United Nations were formed in the San Francisco Conference on April 25, 1945. This was led by President Roosevelt, Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Premier Joseph Stalin alongside 50 nations representative. The conference designed a structure for the United Nations that would respect treaties, create control, etc. Two important things that were said in the conference was to respect self-determination and equal rights of everyone also solving different problems around the world. The UN security council which contained the US, UK, France, China and Soviet Union have each country the power to veto other each other. The Soviets and later China backed North Korea, while the United States backed South Korea. The US was initially winning until they crossed the border into China because of General MacArthur continuing to chase them despite orders to stop. This gave China the chance to enter the war and push the US back to the 38th parallel. To this day, the North Koreans and South Koreans are in a state of truce the war is technically ongoing.
Fourth the Marshall Plan was put into place to rebuild war torn western Europe after WWII. The main reason was to prevent a repeat of the climate after WWI that allowed Hitler and other dictators to grab hold of the governments of Europe, with a key focus on making communism less attractive.
