The Chicago Bulls and their fans saw a great deal of success in the 1990’s. Still to this day they are considered one of the best basketball teams, aside from The Dream Team of the ’92 Olympics, in history. Fueled by the incredible talent of the Great Michael Jordan and his collaborator Scottie Pippen, the Chicago Bulls went on to win 6 NBA championships in a span of 10 years (’91, ’92, ’93, ’96, ’97, ’98). With their roster unstoppable and the intimidation they instilled within every team, their nickname “The Dynasty” was well fitting
Capable to win an incredible 60 percent of NBA championships in the 90’s era, their talent was doubtless. Even though the Bulls had the best player in the history of basketball, even Michael Jordan himself wouldn't
The Chicago Bulls joined the NBA for the 1966-67 season. The franchise struggled for the better part of a quarter century, occasionally putting excellent teams on the court, such as the tough units of the mid-1970s that featured Bob Love, Norm Van Lier, Jerry Sloan, and Tom Boerwinkle. More often, however, the Bulls worked hard for mediocre results. That all changed in the mid-1980s with the drafting of Michael Jordan, the dominant player of his era and possibly the greatest player of all time. Jordan won seven straight scoring titles with a combination of breathtaking slam dunks and a bag of thrilling tricks. He put up some of the biggest numbers in NBA history and wrote some of the most memorable chapters of the league. The addition of Scottie
The Chicago Bulls, a professional basketball team in the state of Illinois that was established in 1966 becoming the league’s 10th franchise. Dick Klein, the owner of the Chicago Bulls came up with the name as saying, “We were the meat capital of the world.” So Klein decided to use the Bulls because the name signifies strength and power which ties into the city’s meat packing industry tradition during the late 19th-20th century. As though the name may seem generic it’s actually the opposite, Chicago was the hub
As the summer winds down and the NBA season is upon us, the Golden State Warriors are planning for their fight to claim another championship ring. Last season, the Warriors won the most games in a single season in NBA history (73), but fell just short of winning back-to-back championships. Having recruited superstar Kevin Durant, who joined the team this summer, seems to have made Golden State even more frightening than it already was. However, past experiences have shown us that a cluster of superstars on one team doesn’t necessarily mean an automatic ring.
The way that the Bulls have shaped America the most was by selecting a small little shooting guard from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The Bulls used their 3rd overall selection to take Michael Jordan, the player that would change history and never look back again. Michael Jordan would go on to win six total championships for the city of chicago. In those championship seasons Chicago’s economy sky rocketed. Along with the multiple championships that Jordan won in his career he also went on to win the NBA scoring title 10 times and also won a defensive player of the year award. Perhaps what Jordan did most to change America would be coming out with own personal brand. Jordan himself has released 30 signature shoe models
We were finally in North California after 6 hours of drive. We were a little bit behind in our schedule, because we had booked tickets to a basketball game, so instead driving to our motel, we drove straight to East Trade Street to see the game. None of us had never been to a match before, so it was a little bit confusing about to get into the stadium, but we did have a great and the people here, were so loud, but the match was so funny, but loud. We spent 47 dollars on the tickets. The game ended with 115 to Chicago Bulls and 109 to Charlotte Hornets. Whether you’re looking for art, music, shopping or parks, Charlotte is right place for exploring new things. On our way to the motel, we stopped by the Green, walked through the park and took
During its memorable years with basketball superstar Michael Jordon, the Chicago Bulls became on of the most dominant sports teams in the history of sports. They won six NBA Championships (1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998) and remain as one of the elite franchises in the league.
The Boston Celtics’ Dynasty started in the 1956-1957 season when they won their first title for the franchise. The dynasty lasted until 1969 when they won their last championship in the 60’s. People call it the end of the dynasty because it’s when the biggest part of the team, both literally and figuratively, Bill Russell, retired. Russell was crowned the MVP of the NBA 5 times and winning the Finals 11 times in his 13 year career. He was elected to the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 1975. He was a 12-time NBA All Star, and a 1956 Olympic Gold Medalist. Bill Russell was drafted to the St. Louis Hawks in 1956, but it wasn’t until 1957, when the Celtics had just received Bill Russell in a trade where the Hawks received Ed Macauley and Cliff
His team the Chicago Bulls was an elite powerhouse in the National Basketball Association. The Chicago Bulls won six championships during this time period; all being contributed to Jordan magical ball skills. Jordan made every player around him look like superstars. His ability to make plays would pull defenders from other players would allow them to score with ease. In my opinion Jordan is the greatest player of all time because of his clutch performances in title games. Jordan’s ability to score when the game on the line; has not yet been replicated. LeBron on the other hand has won several championships himself. LeBron won 3 of the 7 championship series he has played in. In my opinion LeBron is the second best player to ever play the game. Jordan won every single championship series; he played; while LeBron has only won 3 of the 7. My deciding factor in choosing Jordan over LeBron comes from their decisions off the
Of the three major sports teams in Cleveland, Ohio, the Cleveland Cavalier, for they joined the National Basketball Association (NBA) in the early 1970. The Cavaliers had a very rocky start with the first 15 years being a losing season, after losing season. While some fans blamed the owner at the time, as he had no clue what he wanted to do with the team. But in 1988 the Cavaliers put together a rather good team, that made it to the playoff. During the first round of the playoff the Cavaliers played the Chicago Bulls in the best of five series. In the 5th game the Cavaliers were leading with only second to go in the game, but as with other teams in Cleveland, it would happen again, Michael Jordon would hit a basket with only 2 seconds left on the clock, this basket would be known as the “shot”, as this is a common theme for Cleveland fans, that all heartbreaking plays are given a name. Again, after the 1988 season the Cavaliers would only have mediocre seasons until after the 2003 draft, as a hometown boy from Akron, Ohio, named LeBron James, was graduating from high school, although the Cavaliers were not guaranteed that they would have the first draft pick to sign James, but as fate would have it, the Cavs, ended up winning the draft lottery and signed this young man to play for the Cavaliers. From the beginning of James career as a basketball player

Everyone will form their own opinion when it comes to the ground-breaking decision to fire David Blatt as the head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers. It wasn't necessarily a terrible decision by any means, but it was quite odd. To fire a head coach, who had coached a team to a 30-11 record and had them on top of the conference almost sounds comical. But, something needed to change, and unfortunately GM David Griffin decided to start with Blatt.
As a conclusion, the bulls have one of the longest most exciting journeys in the NBA. It all started in 1966 season when they first entered the league and got the best record by any expansion team in NBA history. In the mid-1980s the bulls started their golden era by drafting Michael Jordan , the golden boy of his era, but they still didn’t win any championships until the 1990s when they won six championships
First came heavy breathing while staring at the sky. Ben noted: “Jenna, just breathe. Darling, breathe in, breathe out.” Jenna and Ben held hands. It’s obvious; she’s anxious; a visible shake jolts her sweaty palms. She glanced over and said: “I got it. I understand.” Ben stuttered, asking: "So – so what do you contemplate their reaction when they find out?" Jen sighs. While sitting on the swing in the frigid early December outside her mother's farmhouse, Jenna rests her tired head on his cold-shoulder; softly, she cries. Her eyes welled with tears; slowly, they trickle about his chest; the chilled tears dripped from his Chicago Bulls sweater to his dirty, ripped jeans: "I don't have a clue. I guess I haven't thought that far
Michael built the Chicago Bulls from the ground up and transformed them into the unstoppable team that people saw during the late 80’s and early 90’s. The Bulls of the 90’s were a team that, regardless of your team loyalty, you had to watch Michael Jordan. His achievements during that time set a bar that was unreachable for other players. From the time he retired the 2nd time, sportswriters have been looking for someone to replace him someone to fill in for Michael.
Today we are still affected by this team as one of the best. Also Michael Jordan is still the best player in the league, with unbreakable records. We can learn from them what it takes to be a good team. While the Bulls set records still unreachable to this day, Google broke records soon after its introduction.
