When he takes a class trip to go see a poet, he interacts with Sharon Willis which starts to change his views on himself and others. Gene’s character is fixed on his views, and how he reads his fellow classmates and others. At the beginning he's unconfident in his own identity and a follower; “Everybody in the class put up their hands. I mean everybody. I put up mine. I go along.” He wants the least amount of attention on him and camouflages in with his crowd of classmates. As readers, we saw Scout mature and grow as our narorater and as a person. She learned many things, but also lost many things. As she grew up and changed, she began to see how things really were, and gained the knowledge of the pure hate that one man can show another.
Through the many influences around her, Scout discovers that good people can make bad mistakes. She learns that even when against the odds, one should always fight for justice, and even if justice does not prevail, the battle for it bears the most weight. Lastly, Jean realizes the wrong of acting cruel and prejudice toward others. She takes what happens from around her and gleans a better understanding of the world from it. One can only imagine what she’ll grow up to
By the end of the three years covered in this book, Scout has grown and matured more than any other character. Through becoming more aware of the world around her, she learns to distinguish what is right and wrong. Respect of other people and their feelings develop into a clearer concept for her as well. She understands life better and acts more appropriate as a result. Scout becomes all around a more adult-like human
As Carter’s wolf killed Red’s grandmother and left her all alone, this instance can be seen in “The Company of the wolves” when there was “No trace at all of the old woman except for a tuft of white hair that had caught in the bark of an unburned log. When the girl saw that, she knew she was in danger of death” (53). This instance didn’t made her weak, but even stronger than before. As she then knew that she has to get to out of this mess all by herself and was able to do so very cleverly. In this instance she becomes a beast in order to save her life from one. She can be seen as a predator and werewolf as a prey when “she ripped off his shirt for him and flung it into the fire, in the fiery wake of her own discarded clothing” (54). Just as Carter’s wolf kills protagonist’s grandmother, Block’s wolf also changed the life of the protagonist, which can be seen in her actions as she left her mother alone with her boyfriend to suffer as she was so scared that while leaving “it didn't seem like the time to try any heroics” (56). She left her even after they were more like sisters and were as close as friends because she was no longer able to handle the wolf’s oppression. She doesn’t only isolate herself with her best friend, but also took revenge of all the things that he did with her and her mother by killing him in the
Scout shows courage in this book mainly but doing what is right and sticking to her word.
However, scout has her and this occur as she joins her first day of school. Scout enters a whole new environment and is clueless plus mindless of her actions. She finds herself muddled up with her new teacher, Miss Caroline who demands scout to “tell your father to not teach you anymore. Its best to start reading with a fresh mind. you tell him I’ll take over from here”.

The dogs mostly look out for themselves. When Bella and Athena are attacked with stones by the boys in the park and Bella attacks the them Atticus is excited because “They will come for her, but they will not come for us” (Alexis,25). When the problem arises that the dog 's territory is being threatened because of Bella and Athena 's action, Atticus does not worry and tells the dogs they will not have to leave because they will not be the ones targeted. Death of a Salesman is about a man that can’t get passed his own ego. William, the salesman, is a narcissistic untrustworthy man that has no values for his own wife. At the beginning of the play, we can clearly see that Willy is this macho man that wouldn’t accept his faults. His decaying state of mind gives us even more evidence to argue his deficiencies. His wife, Linda, is always trying to defend him against his own family, yet she unconsciously knows that her husband has some sort of mental illness, such as dementia. Both his sons, Biff and Happy, are in today’s society “normal” citizens that are trying to change their world around and succeed. However, Willy sees this as a waste of time, and insults their efforts of creating their own lives which is mostly
