The role of Legislators and courts have played in the Texas Education System has been miserably unsuccessful. Citizens have been concerned about the education of their young for years. The reason is that it has failed to establish any public system of education that is equal to all students, which seems to be redundant and keeps rearing its ugly head in Texas history. Public education has to meet the needs of Texas students. Public education in the Texas will play a major role in shaping of our state in the future. The schools in low income have often assumed the position of unjust, while children in better schools enjoy the luxury of a solid education. Texas should be educating students, not battling in court. Educational opportunity funding cases led to improvements in the state’s funding system. The funding system inequitable, inadequate, and unconstitutional. The people's representatives to this perpetual cycle of litigation.
Texas needs to work toward the aim of effectively funding the Texas education system constitutionally and satisfactory. The Texas school system failed to meet constitutional requirement to educate all children and the courts still have the same ruling with nothing being changed. The ruling ensuring quality education, and funding for the school children of Texas, is sufficient and improves the situation for education. Texas needs a system that gives the students and taxpayers a just school funding, which spends the money in schools that need it the most and not based off your zip code.
If the current system not the administration calculates that the annually will increase as a chance to reinforce the district where it needs the assistance. As the Senate member, I will shape the Texas higher education system to suit the 1955 Education Amendment to ensure that public schools are well standardized to provide the foundation of the higher education system is enhanced. I will surface all the technicalities concerning the choice of public schools by ensuring that all public schools conditions are standardized and that all the social amenities that make teachers choosy are provided in the required proportion for equal education in public schools.
The appellants stated the children of the case are not persons of the state’s jurisdiction, because they are living in the state unlawfully and should be subject to deportation. They added it would be fiscally irresponsible to educate undocumented children because it would cost the state of Texas nearly $60 million per year to educate 20,000 children of undocumented immigrants and that money could be used on “legal” residents of the state. However, the Supreme Court decision regarding Morath vs. Texas Taxpayers has highlighted that even in 2016, additional reforms are needed. Funding for public education is not a new issue and has been a pressing matter since the creation of the Texas educational system. Throughout the process of educational reform, Texans have mainly fought over public education funding in regards to bridging the gap between the portion of funding spent on urban areas and the portion spent on rural areas as well as the small earnings that teachers make. The Texas AFT wants to influence the legislator because the school districts have been left to try to make up for inadequate state aid by raising local tax rates, even as the state has continued to make it much harder for them to accomplish this. Basically, all they want to do is handle the budget crisis in the school districts of Texas. To analyze the successes and failures of Texas AFT in influencing legislation is short and sweet; school systems are still under budgeted and local taxes are still being raised to help the schools. The only break educators have received was in 2006 with “surplus” dollars tax swap for which the bill is now belatedly coming due.

One of the important function of the committee is to review the performance of public schools in the state and improve the results of academic reports. Texas has been known for their improvements and reformation in public schools since their first attempt of a public school system. Within these improvements, came issues that escalated to create our public education system today. The issues that helped arrange the system are desegregation, equity in funding, and education policy.
The article “A Peek Under the Big Top” compares the 84th Legislature to a circus. “-the circus is back in town! The spine-chilling 84th Texas legislature that convened in Austin this month (January 2015) promises to feature daring radicals and tantalizing ideologues in the center ring. This year public education is in their cross hairs!” Then they explain how the schools are under-funded.
Education is the most valuable belonging a person deserves and needs. It is the key to success, wealth, knowledge, and a career that will push you further in the future. Also, high-quality education is a must in the U.S, which means it will help the future generations tackle the nation issues later on. It should be the only thing that cannot be taken away from anyone and it will open many doors full of opportunities. Education will help us grow as an individual, have a better outlook on life, and will help withstand the hardships of life, but what happens when education get cuts down? Are today student’s being cheated out of best education possible to balance the budget?
Hello Ms. Bahorich, I am a current student at the University of Texas at Arlington and I want to start off by congratulating you for being the chairperson of the Texas board of education. Personally, I admire you for spending your time to make sure students that attend a public school district in Texas get the best education possible. I believe that your job is more than just leading meetings over the Texas education system, giving ideas on how to improve the education system, or make sure that school districts are regulated according to standards. Your job goes beyond that; the future of Texas students is in your hands. I also admire you for homeschooling your children; I don’t believe this is an act of hostility towards the Texas education system, but rather that you wanted to provide your children the best education possible. I want that type of education to be available to all Texas students. Texas education has greatly improved since the beginning of it, and although we recently have passed laws to reach racial equally, I still believe that there is an issue in the Texas education system. The issue present in the Texas Education System is the bad funding of public school districts. The way public school districts are funded in the state of Texas gives a disadvantage to students that attend a school district located in a low income neighborhood over those who attend a school districts located in a rich neighborhood.
