The Ten Commandments 1. Thou shall respect God as the one and only savior of the world. 2. Thou shall honor the lives of all people; thou shall not murder. 3. All must protect the environment and the creatures that live within it and conserve the organic materials produced by it. 4. Children must obey their mother and father, and parents must care for their children. 5. NO person shall be discriminated by race, religion, gender or socio economic class. 6. Thou shall treat all property and possessions with respect, and shall not covet from one another. 7. I chose this law because I truly believe in the Lord and monotheism, and I would want the citizens of my community to respect this belief. 2. I chose this law because life is precious and in my opinion murder is one of the worst sins. This commandment will let the citizens of know that is wrong and extremely prohibited. 3. I chose this law because I believe it is extremely important to take care of our environment, as it is the only home we have. Caring and respecting all the animals of the world is also important because it is their home too. If everyone does their part in protecting the earth, we could avoid many of the drought, pollution, and energy issues we have today. Conserving the organic materials will make sure that there is enough to sustain future generations. 4. The ethical reason behind this law is that if children learn the basic moral teachings from their parents, each generation would be without as much crime and issues. Also the care and keeping of children is important so that all children have a family to love them and teach them the ways of the world. 5. Discrimination is a disgraceful act of hate, and if it were eradicated, many problems of the world would be solved. The goal of this commandment is to reach equality of all
