The task supervisor assigned at the beginning of the semester is leaving the organization. I informed Ms. McCain of the situation. However, according to the field manual handbook, the task supervisor "... the preceptor may be from professional disciplines other than social work such as marriage and family counseling, psychology, occupational and recreational therapy, etc." At SelfRefind, currently no employee other than Beth, the employee supervisor and myself have a bachelors. However, SelfRefind is hiring for counselors positions. There is a chance a new counselor to be hired by the beginning of the semester next year. I wanted to let you know what is happening and to receive your feedback about options for a task supervisor.
Before the children come to school, I will give myself thirty minutes for planning. During my planning time, I will review my day’s plans and ensure I have all necessary materials are available to the children. When the children arrival to school, I will greet them and assist them if need with storing their belonging. Breakfast will be prepared for the children with serving bowls to sever themselves. When the children are finish eating breakfast, the quite centers, such as math and manipulatives and literacy centers, will be available for the children to enter. The Department’s sergeants and other supervisors have the most influence and impact on these front-line personnel. Many of DSD’s direct supervisors are dedicated and hardworking individuals who strive to treat their employees well and support them in their daily activities. Yet our assessment revealed a number of concerns that need to be addressed by the new Sheriff and members of the command staff. Command deputies need to be more consistent in their expectations of subordinates. This will help employees better understand the Department’s priorities and what actions and behaviors they need to adopt and demonstrate in order to advance DSD goals. Direct supervisors and DSD leaders have a critical role in building morale

Although the task force does effectively address the problem of substance abuse and addictive disorders, it does not effectively address co-occurring disorders. Early on in the text, a co-occurring disorder is defined as an individual who has a substance abuse disorder and a mental disorder at the same time. The task force mainly focuses on substance abuse. There are elements that are present in the treatment such as release prevention, engagement, and persuasion. The task force provides a number of interventions strategies address problems with substance use.
As I implied earlier, I had to resign from Miami-Dade College because I realized that I could not successfully complete my studies and hours of placement while working six days a week. For that reason, I applied for the care support specialist position at Better way of Miami. Now that I have completed my studies my goal is to go into the field of my interest which social work practice.
Thanks Vanessa, you did a great job defining the role and use of supervision. I did not know if you noticed that Our Lady of the Lake mission’s statement is in perfect line with the social worker code of ethics. I would like to share what I found in similarity with our mission statement. According to the National Association of Social Work (2010), the mission of the social work profession is rooted in a set of core values. These core values, embraced by social workers throughout the professions’ history, are foundation of social work’s unique purpose and perspective. Service, Social justice, Dignity, Dignity and worth of the person, Importance of human relationships, Integrity, and Competence. This constellation of core values reflects what is unique to the social work profession. According to Kiser (2012) the field supervisor is key to student learning in any human services internship. Ideally, supervisory relationships are based on trust and mutual understanding. Great job and good luck.

The intensive supervision programs are very similar to those programs utilized within standard probation and parole (Latessa & Smith, 2011). The difference is mainly the amount of control, supervision, as well as the application of the programs. The use of intensive supervision programs began in the mid-1900s in California with an emphasis on the rehabilitation of the offenders. In the 1980’s the programs become widely used to reduce prison populations with a shift in the focus away from rehabilitation to deterrence, control, and supervision taking the forefront (Lowenkamp et. al., 2010).
William Davis (SBI 00392235) has an open supervision plan. I attempted to close the plan but it will not allow me to close it. When I click close, it automatically click back to open. Can you look into this issue for me? I need to close plan#1 in order to open a new supervision plan and complete Mr. Davis’s

Some suggestions that I mentioned in the last question to help him win over the support of Uri comes to the fact that Uri needs to understand that Robert is the new supervisor of his department. Robert will need to have a talk with Uri to come to common grounds and understanding that Robert might be new to the position, but respect Uri for he has been there the longest in the job position Robert is taking over. They should work together as a team if Robert has a hard time with something within the department and Uri should be understand that Robert is new and will need some guidance to gain the trust of the rest of the employees that Robert is the new supervisor. With Robert stepping up to the challenge that Uri wasn’t quite wanting due to
There are assumptions made in education and about education everyday. Many times these assumptions can hinder the educational progress for schools, teachers, and students alike, because not everyone has the same views about education and all of its components. Therefore, in order to fully understand my personal supervisory platform, one first needs to understand the assumptions that influence my own perspectives on supervision and evaluation.
Supervision theories and practices began emerging as soon as counsellors started to train other counsellors (Bernard & Goodyear, 2009). Several different theoretical models have developed to clarify and support counselling supervision. The focus of early models of supervision had generally been based on counselling theories (such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Adlerian or client-centred), but these orientation-specific models have begun to be challenged as supervision has many characteristics that are different to counselling. Competency as a counsellor does not automatically translate into competency as a supervisor, and when supervisee/supervisor orientations differ, conflicts may arise (Falender &
