As I implied earlier, I had to resign from Miami-Dade College because I realized that I could not successfully complete my studies and hours of placement while working six days a week. For that reason, I applied for the care support specialist position at Better way of Miami. Now that I have completed my studies my goal is to go into the field of my interest which social work practice.

Sauk Valley Community College should have a track and field team for several reasons. SVCC use to have a track and field team. Sadly, they dropped it in the nineteen seventies probably because of the expenses. Track and field is a very popular sport that many students might want to take part in middle and high school, or even at college level. Track isn’t a very expensive sport. It is one of the cheapest sports to participate in. Track and field is also very popular sport in colleges in the two hour radius from Sauk Valley Community College. Bringing track and field to Sauk will bring about 40-50 new students each year. Also, this will make Sauk become a better choice of colleges in the area, because of the distance.

Baltimore City Community College (BCCC) receives about $40 million annually as a state run community college in Maryland although most community colleges are financed and run by local governments (Cox, E, 2017; Richman, T & Bowie, L, 2017). BCCC has been under fire for several years because of its graduation rates and accreditation problems (Richman, T & Bowie, L, 2017). In addition, the General Assembly legislated that BCCC realign the college to better serve the citizen of Baltimore city and its students. BCCC responded to that mandate by joining Achieving the Dream (ATD), a network of 220 community colleges around the nation to help improve student outcomes through leadership training and data analysis (Richman, T & Bowie, L,
Originally many schools, including some post-secondary colleges, were designed as factories to train workers (Ackoff & Greenberg, 2008). With a focus on reading, writing, and arithmetic, individuals gained skills needed to complete robotic instructions, but unfortunately, not problem-solving techniques. This concept is still present in many of our schooling systems today including some of classes and graduation tracks at Your State Community College (YSCC). Founded in 1968, YSCC serves about 6,000 students preparing them for jobs in both academic and trade careers. Unfortunately, many of the students who enter the school do not score high enough on the placement examination and need remedial courses prior to taking college-level Math

Maintaining its focus on environmental matters impacting the world we live in, Bart College is remaining to uphold its mission of creating leaders that will impact environmental care. The institution’s decision to incorporate Christian beliefs into its new mission, exemplifies there’s enthusiasm to see changes that can improve the overall state of its operation. Bart College’s ability to capture potential students over the past 5 years and maintain a 95% FTE rate through the academic year is significant, however, sustaining such is possibly due to the flat rate of tuition that the college currently charges to all students. Currently the institution is wavering because the institution has been unable to endure the financial hardship it is presently

As the population increase, the number of student admissions each year is rapidly increasing as well. Some colleges see that as an opportunity to profit off of student via multiple resources such as parking, tuition, books and on campus dining. These funds can be utilized and distributed much better if the university invests in their students and the organizations that they are in.
After I graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara I was unsure what my next step would be. Of course I was anxious since I did not have experience working nor did I excel in my undergrad studies however, I knew I needed to use my newly earned degree in a positive way. Fast forward, after working for two years, I have gained the skills, knowledge and values from my work experiences that have confirmed my desire to advance my education in the social work field. I currently have my own case load of clients as a case manager at a level 12 group home but it’s time to take the next step forward. I want to ultimately advance social justice and provide services to assist individuals, families, groups, organizations and communities.
