Summary: My Experience At Habitat For Humanity In Silver Spring

I learned two things when I volunteered for the second time on 12/11/2016 at Habitat for Humanity in Silver Spring. First, I found out that government orders prisoner to volunteer their community instead of staying in jail. There were two gentlemen, 33 and 36 years old, from DC Jail. They told me the government ordered them to volunteer 20 hours instead of being in jail for 1 year. The U.S government uses a good way: ordering criminals to volunteer because prisoners can have experience while they are in penalty. Second, I learned that there are Americans who do not read or write English while they live in the U.S.A. The two gentlemen did not read English well.
