The career that I chose is to be Anesthesiologist. There are many reasons why I chose this path, initially it is a job in the medical field. I have always been interested in the medical field and this seems like the perfect job for me. In addition, I chose this job because the profession is supposed to grow, giving more opportunities for jobs in this field. As an anesthesiologist you mostly give sedation for lumps, endoscopies, and bumps. This can cause a person to start losing his/her skill intubation, line placement, and even emergencies. In addition, a lot of the time you spent in your college years studying and preparing for the job can go to waste. Therefore, this job can even get monotonous and some of your skills may never have use. The path to becoming an anesthesiologist is a long one. Initially, I will have to get a 4-year degree in natural sciences. Then I will have to get a 4-year Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy at an accredited medical school. Next, then I have to undergo a 4-year resident training program after graduating from medical school. This will have me finally at where I need to be to be an anesthesiologist. Finally, researching my job was very interesting. This paper opened my eyes for my future and I know what I have to look forward to. Seeing the smile on someone’s face is a reward in itself, and giving to others is something I plan on continuing in my future, and hopefully career.
