Police Report Narrative On October 13th, 1982, at approximately 1:15 a.m. the neighbors of Queenie Volupides had reported that Queenie tore out of the house after an argument with her husband, Arthur. She quickly got in her Mustang convertible and sped away. Queenie stated that she went to the couple’s country club for a party that was going on to celebrate the opening of the new golfing range. But I believe this was just the beginning of her scheme. I affirm that Queenie has murdered her husband Arthur. (Claim) Before Queenie left for the party she smacked Arthur in the back of his head with the pan before she left. His DNA was on the back of the pan. She had to remove the DNA from the pan so she decided to put the pan on the stove. She
In Slip or Trip, Queenie and her husband had a big argument. After the fight, Queenie had decided to leave the house to go to a party down at the country club to have a few drinks with some friends. When she left the country club, Queenie had invited a few friends over to her house to have a couple of more drinks. When they arrived at her house, Queenie opened the door and said, “Something terrible happened. Arthur slipped and fell on the stairs. He was coming down for another drink - he still had the glass in his hand - and I think he might be dead. Oh, my God - what shall I do?” After an Autopsy was done on Arthur, it had come to the conclusion that he was drinking and he had obtained a severe head wound. Queenie is not telling the truth because
We believe that Queenie is involved in Arthur Volupedis’s death and that she actually murdered him. We arrived at the Volupedis home at 1:30 am with Arthur Volupides body on the ground dead. Queenie reportedly ran out of the house with a fight with Arthur and went to the country club party where everyone commented her dress and how it fit her slender look. Also that she invited people back over and they followed her home, her guests arrived ten minutes later and she testified that Arthur had fallen down the stairs and died. Autopsy found wound to the head. To begin with, when Arthur was found he was laying on his back which would be hard to get to if he was walking down the stairs.
We believe that Queenie is lying. We arrived at the Volupedis home at 1:30 a.m. Queenie Volupedis was standing over her dead husband. She claimed that he fell down the stairs while intoxicated. When the officers performed an autopsy, they concluded that he died from a wound on his head. To begin with, her husband, Arthur, laid at the bottom of the stairs when the cops arrived. His cup was intact and he was lying on his back. As a rule, when people fall down the stairs, they roll or don’t fall backwards. Also, his cup wasn’t broken, and when you fall down the stairs and die, the cup won’t still be in your hand. This proves that she staged the crime. Secondly, Queenie said, “ He was intoxicated and fell down the stairs.” Although the autopsy
For language to have “an art” it must bring the reader something which is not expressly written in words, it must contain symbols which transports the reader to a different level of realization. The words must be able to bring the read to the place. They have to experience the emotional ties of the environment, the smells and excitement, the fear and the horror. This experience is given both directly and indirectly by the author but either way the reader still envisions, sees the action taken place and in so becomes attached to it. The art is allowing the reader to experience what the author experienced. In Ellen Collett's "The Art of the Police Report”, Martinez uses the diction and placement of the words to make the reader, as they are reading,

“The Sheriff´s office has issued a mandatory evacuation order for your area.” A phone call like that will get you out of bed in a hurry, and it’s something you don’t get used too. I grew up in Ramona, California, a small rural town with not much to offer. Mountains, farm animals, hillbillies and fires… all a part of Ramona.
On 11/21/2016, I, William Van Scoter, was working as a police officer for the Wichita State University Police Department, in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas. I had the North Wichita Police Department (WPD) on my car radio and they were looking for a black male wearing all black clothes with red shoes. The black male was wanted for a domestic violence incident. I heard over the radio that WPD requested Officer Gable #152 to help locate the individual.
I woke up to a police officer tapping on my window. I opened my eyes gladly actually to see a cop. I rolled down the window and before he was able to talk I told him everything about who I was, what happened, my mom, my foster home, I showed him the pictures the maps everything, I even told him that legally I wasn't able to drive. His first word he said to me was “Wow.” Literally I was about to explode at him I just told him my whole life and he said “Wow.” Before I could tear him apart he said “I can help you get home, why don't you get in my car.” Without even saying a word I stepped out of the car took the blanket and re shoved everything in it. I threw it in the backseat of the cop car and then sat down in the passenger seat slammed the
My second week at the court house was long but eye opening. I learned so much about the criminal justice system. I leaned that each procedure and each role a person play is crucial to someone life. On Tuesday, the day was short but still alarming. I came in and shadow one of the clerks as she was preparing for court. As the clerk was setting up for court I remember trying to recognize which department is what on each traffic ticket. I felt confuse, but the clerk show who was trooper, SUNY New Paltz police, and state police/ She remind that I will eventually learn who is who and how to set up for court. I felt better about what she said and I was ready for court. I notice that court will be short today because we did not have many cases. I began
