Martin Luther King Jr. once said “Only love can push out the hate that lies deep within our hearts.” In this passage from the Shakespearean tragedy Romeo and Juliet, Juliet learns that Romeo, her love, killed her cousin Tybalt. Once Juliet Learns this, she goes through a series of emotional extremities displaying herself to be emotionally impulsive.

Tybalt, a committed Capulet, always showing superior towards Montagues, is the perfect example of personification of hate in Romeo and Juliet. Tybalt plays an important character in Romeo and Juliet because of his aggressive and arrogant personality which causes major conflicts and catastrophes.

I think this quote is important because this is when the nurse found Juliet after she faked her death to be with Romeo, and because of that she will never see her family again. When Juliet took the potion she knew she was risking everything, and knew she might not see her family again. Her parents and the nurse are now filled with grief from her death that will stay with them throughout the rest of the story. Overall, this quote was the first to announced Juliet's plan to fake her death worked, and now the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet is even closer.

“The devil takes a hand in what is done in haste”. Haste is a major theme shown throughout William Shakespeare's play, Romeo and Juliet. Many of the characters were impetuous in their actions and as a result, the consequences were tragic. The play itself unfolds throughout 4 short days. Lord Capulet was too eager in his desire for Juliet’s marriage to Paris, which ultimately led to her betrayal. Romeo’s rash decision to fall in love with Juliet soon became fatal. In this world hate means many different things. For some people hate may mean the emotion they feel against their country for all the deaths and disparities that the war torn country has caused them. Throughout the play, “The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet”, many different types of love are shown, however, I believe loyal, parental love, and romantic love are the most popular and influential types of love throughout the story. The Capulets and Montagues show loyalty for their house, the friar shows parental love for Romeo as the nurse shows parental love for Juliet, and Romeo and Juliet show romantic love for each other. These three types of love, loyal love, parental love, and romantic love, show many similarities to one another as they do differences.

The parents sadly watch their children being carried into the family tomb. The play, by William Shakespeare, displays the relationships of Romeo and Juliet. This drama takes place in Verona, Italy, where the Capulets and Montagues are feuding. Poor relationships, deceit, and poor advice leads to tragedy. The description of Juliet by Romeo continues, as he compares her to a beautiful dove and all the other ladies around her to awkward crows. Romeos early display of affection presents him as a man who is in love with the idea of love, and in turn allows audiences to like for him, just as they imagine he would for them. Although Romeo's character was introduced a few scenes prior, he was depressed and not himself. So, the moment he met Juliet for the first time it was also the moment the audience met the real Romeo for the first time.

In Shakespeare’s play, Romeo and Juliet, he once wrote, “Within the infant rind of this weak flower Poison hath residence and medicine power: For this, being smelt, with that part cheers each part; Being tasted, stays all senses with the heart. She demonstrates this when she proclaims, “But if by wanton love and by unlawful suit You think in ripest years to pluck my maidenhood's dainty fruit, You are beguiled.” (Lines 86-88). However, once Romeus assures her of his love for her, her loyalty can be clearly seen. Juliet vows that she will remain loyal by stating, “Both me and mine I will all whole to you betake, And following you whereso you go, my father's house forsake.” (Lines 84-85). Essentially, she would abandon her family to be with him. Finally, her passion ties in with her desires. Revenge is defined as the act of harming someone for any aggression towards another. “The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet,” written by William Shakespeare, gives an excellent example that the thirst for vengeance can ruin everyone who is connected. Some examples of the play are Romeo and Tybalt, whose actions caused them to meet an unfaithful end. Their actions, which were guided by hatred, not only affected them, but both of their families. After meeting Romeo for the first time, Juliet says, “If he be marrièd,/My grave is like to be my wedding bed” (1.5.148-149). Before they meet, Juliet had barely thought about love and marriage.
