Romeo & Juliet Ricardo A. Polanco Bido Final Draft Document. “A pair of star-crossed lovers take their lives,” says William Shakespeare, writer of the tragic love story of “Romeo and Juliet”, the two lovers who died over their cursed love. Friar Laurance, the man who married Romeo and Juliet, is NOT accountable for their deaths because they were reckless, overlooked their common sense, and did NOT listen to those who warned and were concerned about how their love was going to end. First and foremost, Romeo and Juliet are reckless and act without thinking. For example, Romeo attending the Capulet party after seeing Rosaline will also go, even when he knows it's dangerous. For example, Juliet had a vision of Romeo in a tomb as he climbed down her balcony, but she didn't take any action to stop him or even warn him. Similarly, when Romeo arrives at the Capulet party, he recalls having a dream where misfortune chased him for attending the party. Furthermore, the Nurse and Friar Laurance suggest to Romeo and Juliet that their “love” is dangerous and careless and that they should be careful with their actions. For instance, the Nurse tells Romeo's identity Juliet, and how as a Montague, Romeo is her enemy, but Juliet says that last names don't matter even though this last name brings danger to her and her family. In addition, Friar Laurance tells Romeo that his love for Juliet was quick and unexpected, and that maybe Romeo should think carefully about “loving” Juliet. Romeo still asks Friar Laurance to marry Juliet. Lastly, Friar Laurance tells Juliet to hide and leave the tomb because if she stays she would be risking everything but Juliet’s love for Romeo leads her to take her own life without thinking
Acting on selfish desires can result in violent actions. When one is overcome by grief they tend to act on impulse with revenge in attempt to fill their sorrow, when in fact that only makes the situation worse. In William Shakespheres Romeo and Juliet the fude between Montague and Capulet heats up as Romeo Montague is caught by Tybalt Capulet at a Capulet party. Tybalt selfishly wants to put Romeo in his place. The only way Tybalt negotiates is by war.
The romantic love between Paris and Juliet, Romeo and Rosaline and Romeo and Juliet, all end in destructive love. When Paris visits Juliet in the Capulet family tomb, he thinks Romeo has “-come to do some villainous shame/ To the dead bodies”, so even though his love was unrequited he wants to protect her and “apprehend him”. Unfortunately, in doing so, Paris is “slain” by Romeo. In Shakespeare’s time, wealthy people had a family tomb where they lay their dead relatives “uncovered on the bier” rather than burying them.
The parents sadly watch their children being carried into the family tomb. The play, by William Shakespeare, displays the relationships of Romeo and Juliet. I like this passage a lot, because Juliet finally gets her first whiff of madness inside her and she stands up strongly against a dominant male figure, who thought that he could take advantage of her. Her boss (a male surgeon who is highly praised in the medical college she works at) tried to sexually take advantage of her, but when he did Juliet stood up to him in a violent but revengeful way. She took a cleaning tool and slit his palm while threatening to cut all his tendons, knowing that if she cut all of his tendons then he would lose complete control of his motor skills. If she did cut all the tendons, he could possibly never be able to operate properly ever again, since he wouldn’t be able to move his hand. Then without thinking and
Fate of Romeo and Juliet Marcus Aurelius says, “Accept the things to which fate binds you, and love the people with whom fate brings you together, but do so with all your heart.” This quote shows one how to love the people fate brings to them. In Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare, the play shows an example of fate bringing two people together. However, Shakespeare gives the readers an example of how fate can cause love and tragedy. Throughout the play Romeo and Juliet, fate affects characters such as the plague, Mercutio, and Tybalt's death.
Regardless of the consequences, the two decided that it’d be a good course of action to follow Friar Lawrence’s plan. Consequently, Juliet follows along with the plan, faking her death, unknown to Romeo. This eventually leads to Romeo coming back to Verona and meeting his
A mother and her two children, Emma and Rose, are playing on the swings in a neighborhood park. Suddenly, Emma does a flip off the swings, landing on her knees by a man who is sitting on a park bench and glaring at Emma. Consequently, Emma’s mom, who is anxious because of the look that this stranger gave her younger daughter, makes an impulsive decision to leave the park and spend their afternoon at a nearby Chuck-E-Cheese instead. Isabella Salemi Mrs. Fontanilla English I 24 March 2023 From Impulsive wedding vows made in secrecy to rash actions done thoughtlessly, Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet acknowledges the importance of taking the time to think about a major life decision before making it. This is important to the play because if Romeo had waited for Friar Lawrence's letter or realized that Juliet was still warm before he drank the poison and killed himself then he would have still been with Juliet. Rushing into decisions like Romeo and Juliet did in the book can lead to terrible consequences, it is important to carefully think through decisions, whether they are big or small, to avoid regret and guarantee a better future. Rushing into decisions can have serious

William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet focus on the two young lovers, Romeo and Juliet, who fall in love and die within a span of three days. Romeo and Juliet illustrate how the love brings them together to over power the control of their relationship. The moment that Romeo and Juliet declare their love for one another, they try to keep their love a secret since they are the children of the feuding families, the Montagues and the Capulets. Initially their families would be outraged against their relationship that Romeo and Juliet propose to hide the truth of their love. Once Romeo and Juliet reveal to the Nurse and Friar Lawrence their plans to marry, their relationship is nothing but a risk of problems. Romeo is unafraid to show his love that he teases Tybalt teasing him about falling in love with Juliet, although not explicitly. However, the deaths of Mercutio and Tybalt, occur when Romeo and Juliet take actions to protect themselves, but they are not however, protected. Juliet protects her relationship by committing a false death only for Romeo to believe it as true. As a result, the act to protect Romeo and Juliet’s relationship a secret are examples of the failed actions both Romeo and Juliet try to prevent; however, it is not ‘fate’ that control their lives and deaths.
