1. Why do you think so many people are diagnosed with mental illness in the criminal justice system? Why do you think so many offenders in the criminal justice system suffer from mental illness?

People argue television has increased awareness of politics to create more fair and accessible elections. However, I think TV has had a negative impact on politics because it promotes a superficial image of candidates and provides dumbed down content mainly to boost a TV station's ratings.

I selected to watch Pollan’s series documentary instead of his book due to my difficulties in reading and being a visual learner. I am grateful to Pollen for being able to see his story as the documentary. This allowed a visual and hearing experience with the professionals he spoke with within their environment along with demonstrations of what they were talking about. It was an experience to join the people from the countries he visited in their homes/work and to learn what he was taught. This video brings more meaning and life into his story than just words on a page.

Throughout high school, I have challenged myself in the courses I have taken and I have been involved in several services projects throughout my community. I have enrolled in several Advanced Placement, Dual Credit and honors classes. With these classes, I have enrolled in some of the most challenging John Marshall High School has to offer: AP Chemistry, AP Biology and AP Psychology. I have completed several other AP courses. As of today, I am ranked ninth in a class of 269.

After watching the PBS Frontline films, I wanted to see what information there is about bipolar and what do people think cause it. What I found was that doctors do not really know what causes it, but they do believe that it seems to run in families and how it could partly be caused by the brain circuits and neurotransmitters having problems. Growing up Ramsay fell in love with soccer, and was determined to make it has his professional career.
