People argue television has increased awareness of politics to create more fair and accessible elections. However, I think TV has had a negative impact on politics because it promotes a superficial image of candidates and provides dumbed down content mainly to boost a TV station's ratings.
The British Isles are a large set of islands located in the northern hemisphere, and are comprised of a mild climate and varied soils, as well as also being home to a diverse pattern of vegetation and a climatic-climax community of deciduous woodland. I selected to watch Pollan’s series documentary instead of his book due to my difficulties in reading and being a visual learner. I am grateful to Pollen for being able to see his story as the documentary. This allowed a visual and hearing experience with the professionals he spoke with within their environment along with demonstrations of what they were talking about. It was an experience to join the people from the countries he visited in their homes/work and to learn what he was taught. This video brings more meaning and life into his story than just words on a page.

After watching the PBS Frontline films, I wanted to see what information there is about bipolar and what do people think cause it. What I found was that doctors do not really know what causes it, but they do believe that it seems to run in families and how it could partly be caused by the brain circuits and neurotransmitters having problems. There are three chemicals in the brain, which are noradrenaline, serotonin, and dopamine, that are involved with the function of the body and the brain (Webmd). When anyone of these are damaged it can result in the person having mental or mood disorders. There have been studies that show that people who have certain genes can get bipolar disorder and pass them on to their family. There has also been research
Since the dawn of human civilization, there has been an unfortunate but natural tendency to marginalize and oppress those belonging to "the other"--those not in power, not part of the most popular group and those who are different. One such manifestation of this fear of the different is Islamophobia--the "dread or hatred of Islam--and therefore [the] fear or dislike of all or most Muslims." Although the exact word "Islamophobia" was brought to public awareness in 1997 after an academic journal from the British Runnymede Report, it has existed for many years prior to the journal, as a term to describe the experiences of the oppressed and discriminated sections of Muslim communities. The simmering prejudice towards Muslims gained ferocious momentum
