Justin Bieber is a 22 year old pop singer from Canada. He is influential to the young new generation. A lot of older people, like parents of kids, think that he is a bad influence on their children because of his past. What people don’t realize is that Justin Bieber has done so many good things that the media won’t say about him. Justin Bieber’s first EP “My World” reached number six on the Billboard 200 album chart and sold over a million copies. His first number one on the billboard hot 100 was his hit song “What Do You Mean.” Bieber earned a Guinness World Record for being the youngest male artist to be on the top of the Billboard 100 chart. There is this organization called “Pencil of Promise” which Justin Bieber is involved in. This organization is to help build schools around the world. They also try to increase education opportunities. Justin Bieber and other celebrities raise money for them. Every concert ticket you get for Justin Bieber he gives a dollar to the organization. Justin Bieber won his first Grammy at age 21 for his song “Where are you now” for best dance recording. When he was only 16 years old he sold out Madison Square Garden in 22 minutes for his first tour “My World.” For the week of December 5th 2015, 17 of Justin Bieber’s songs were on the Billboard hot 100 chart. That’s the most songs an artist has placed on the chart. The record used to be 14 songs by The Beatles but Justin Bieber beat the record. A 20 year old woman named, Mariah Yeater, made headlines in 2011 because she was saying she was pregnant with Justin Bieber’s baby and wanted a paternity test. The baby wasn’t his. On January 23, 2014 Bieber was arrested in Florida because he was drag racing and he was also under the influence. The same year, he got arrested and had to pay 80,000 dollars to his neighbors for egging their house in Calabasas, California. On August 2016 Justin Bieber made headlines again because he deleted his Instagram account. Because he was getting a lot of hate since he kept on posting pictures with Sofia Richie and fans weren’t being to nice in the comment section. Around early June 2014 there were leaked videos of Justin Bieber when he was 15 years old saying racist jokes. He later on apologized for what he did when he was young and he said that he has changed. Justin Bieber tweeted in 2013 that he was officially retiring and even said at a radio interview that he was retiring. He later on said at the same radio station that he was joking.
