Elvis “The King” Presley has always been a popular musical artist since the 1950’s. His music was striving and is still popular today. From the start he was bound to become a musician. His music had created its own type of genre which is why it is so unique. Even from the grave he is still known for not only his songs, but the conspiracies surrounding him and his death. Elvis was a figure that was for sure ahead of his time.
Early Life
Born on January 8, 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi, Elvis was born a twin to Jesse Presley, whom was a stillborn leaving Elvis an only child. He was brought up with loving, working-class parents, Vernon and Gladys. His family had moved around frequently. Elvis was raised to have a strong faith in God and grew up attending church and listening to gospel music. He and his parents had moved to Memphis, Tennessee in 1948. He had later graduated highschool there in 1953.
Life During Fame Elvis’ career hadn't kicked off until after he had graduated high school. He was searching for opportunities to sing professionally until he had found a record company who recorded a two sided record for him for the price of four dollars. His song, “Heartbreak Hotel” instantaneously becomes popular and it is topping the charts by February of 1956. In the late 50’s he is acting in many movies and appearing on several talk shows. He had later bought a mansion by the name of Graceland for himself and his parents. Although, he had been drafted into the army in 1958. During this time, he meets his future wife, Priscilla Wagner, who had been fourteen at the time they had met. They married later in 1964 and had one daughter, Lisa Marie
