Civilizations refer to the cultural and ethical values that sustain a given society. Each civilization is a cultural entity that brings together a more or less conscious sense of unity, and that groups in its bosom several different nations and individuals. In my opinion, living in either civilization (Greek or Roman) as a women would've been quite difficult. However, if I were to choose between both civilizations, it would definitely be Ancient Greece, as it closely resembles our current one. Greek's history and culture are intimately related to the landscape. Continental Greece is practically a mountain range that sinks in the Aegean Sea, whose numerous islands are not more than the summits of this submerged mountain range. But the Greek landscape, being important, does not help on its own to explain the wonderful Greek cultural legacy. In philosophy the rational interpretation of the universe and the nature was raised, standing out figures like Socrates, Platon or Aristoteles. Moreover, they discovered the sphericity of the earth.
