Journal Day 22 American History I classes started doing their presentation today and on Thursday they will finish it. Some grammar and Works Cited page need some more work. Several students forgot to print it out, so they had before 3:00 to turn it in although they were told to turn it in as quickly as possible. No one did horrible on the presentation. I graded one American History I class and spent the majority of the day reading and grading the essays that were worth 32 points. I did half of the attendance for the day due to the pile of essays. I was also helping the American History II students with their map of Europe before World War I. There was some confusing, but that was cleared up and hopefully the students will not be confused when the class is going through the chapter. What they currently know about Europe is very different from the 1914. I also received news that I will be sitting in an IEP meeting soon.
Journal Day 23 and 24 Wednesday went well at the high school. I was aiding the teacher in checking homework and I

I was prepping and preparing for the classes today. Also we are trying to finish up the Black History Month projects in all of the classes and continuing with the classes. There are a hand few that will be presenting on Monday. However, a majority of the classes are finished.
The fourth period class will take a little longer since they are the biggest classes with 23 students. All of their essays though, have been graded. There is a couple of students that have been missing schools so they still need to turn in their essay and do their presentation after school during seminar period. We were also getting the tests and answers sheets ready for the chapter 4 test that the American History 1 students will be taking on Thursday. We were also making adapted tests. I was also upgrading all the classes on their homework points on
I really like getting into the nitty-gritty of solving problems. I was happy to see that several students actually provided solutions to the problems that were identified using Heap’s law. I wish I had the time this week to have looked into it myself. I’m hoping that we might be doing some of that next week though.
Week 2 has been quite overwhelming. I did not have enough time to do my reading assignments over the weekend. I normally utilize Saturday and Sunday to do my research work and reading. Unfortunately, on Saturday morning, I attended a meeting that took half of the day, when I returned home my husband informed that he had invited our friends over for dinner as they will be leaving for Melbourne the following day. My house was a mess as it hadn't been cleaned the previous weekend when we were away. Thus, my whole Saturday was wasted on doing the trivial aspects of life. I missed church on Sunday so that I can catch up on my work and everything went well thereafter. I managed to complete my tasks. I found that a lot of students were divided when it came answering the forum discussion assignment on what would happen to bond prices if terrorism ended and countries adopted free trade. What's you take on this one?
Hey--- Helping out one of the teachers in a pinch and writing Angela Elliot's IEP. (I'll do it for you, too- just shout if things get piled on...)
We are on week four, time is going by fast. I Just got home and went strait to my office, I want to get the class started, I am happy about my graded test last week I did well.
The back to school bash was a success. The children were encourage, enlighten and entertain. There was 70 children ranging from pre-k to 6 grade. All the kids got school supplies to assist them with getting the school year off to a good start. The parent session went well. There was a lot of question for the College cancelers and doctors in the session. People parish because of the lack of knowledge. Job well done by all of you guys. You all are awesome. This was a nice prelude to what is to come. Together we make a difference in our corner of the world.
Can’t believe it’s already over. I know I didn’t say much but I can honestly say I’m grateful and I really enjoyed this class. I was embarrassed of the little I knew about black history, my history and just the event that’s going on today. I’ve meet some of the coolest, passionate, smartest and hands down funniest group of people I’ve ever meet. This class made me hungry to learn, to step my game up, to not only prove that I can do but to myself as well. I’ve learned about so many events and people in this class, but these five subjects were so far my favorites.
Morgan, Kris and the kids get here in the morning. I turned in my class work for the week ahead of time because I knew I wouldn't get it done with them here. We go to court on Tuesday for the finalization of Kris adopting the kids. It will be a great
Responsibilities/Projects: I helped do some research on a new page layout for a new women’s sport apparel. I researched new looks that we could display on Academy’s website that are currently trendy, in effort to engage the customers more. I also worked on making some high-level bullet points for my case study that I will be reviewing with my mentor this week for my final presentation.
Today was Monday and I got to work and began working on trying to find out who to contact the game more information to learn about the breakthrough energy coalition. I was doing this for a client that was unable to contact them and could not find a way to contact them. I begin working on this project and immediately found ways to reach out individuals and create a contact. Well working your unless I also spent time reviewing a preparations bills and keeping in eye on what was happening on both the house and Senate floors
I mentioned this briefly in an Monday that I was going to do a few org launches that are due soon today, and I also answered some emails about our Org meeting with Jenifer, Lawrence and Justin tomorrow. I put about an hour worth of work in, so I was hoping just to take it off today vacation hours.
I made a few adjustments in my plan today. Instead of playing my sight word game, we read a story that I decided to bring last minute. I figured if the students got bored we would read it. I was so thankful I brought it! With this story we wrote sentences and drew pictures to match. This was the perfect time to review with the two students from yesterday who needed their picture to match their sentence. I also finished the morning meeting way sooner than I had expected. For the five minutes we waited on Ms. Pray we did DEAR time. I thought this was a good idea because it gave the student’s choices in what they were reading.
At the start of this semester, one of my goals for the semester was not to procrastinate, and this applied to not just my responsibilities at work and home but also my time in my classes. I learned plenty from this federal government class such as a difference between politics and the government, the numerous roles of Congress, representation for voting and amendments, and even the corrupt side of the government, which includes the action of redistricting or gerrymandering. The most memorable lesson for me during Federal Government was the history of segregation and the involvement of the United States Federal government in the civil rights movement.
Tomorrow should be good day for ramen. I will make some stops by schools to get some teachers in for ramen and drinks for social hours.
I think Friday helped me understand what I need to do to get an A. I also reviewed the questions I got wrong. I think I just fell behind the first week but now I am making sure to keep up with the reading before class. Thank you for checking up on me, I really appreciate it.
I found the readings for this week to be very interesting, with the Lucy Green piece being my favorite of everything we’ve read so far. The concept of transfer was already my favorite topic of discussion in this class, so getting to analyze it in the context of musical meaning and interpretation is fascinating! I’m genuinely disappointed that I wasn’t about to attend the in-class discussion. Thankfully, was able to get a little insight into the class’s discussion and activities after talking with my roommate, Tyler. He said that you had everyone come up with two meaningful ways that you could inquire into your students’ lives. He also said that you had a review discussion for the next Annotated Learning assignment, and he filled me in on the
