The brain is an astonishing organ used in an everyday life, but do you know what each function of the brain does? The myth about humans using only 10 percent of our brain has been around for decades, but what the people don’t know is that there is “no scientific evidence to suggest” that theory (Chudler). We all know that the brain isn’t just a simple organ. Billions and trillions of connections or also known as synapses create those neurons that our brain consists of. Our brain is separated into several regions that undergo different kind of information. Then there are regions that process information such as visual, verbal communication, auditory, emotions, etc. These different regions communicate with each other and each one of them has its own processes it has to complete first. The first brain division is the Cerebrum, which carries the most unique human qualities (problem solving, language, planning, reasoning, etc). It is the largest division of the brain, encompassing 40% of the brains weight. Consisting of the mirror hemispheres, the right and left hemisphere, the cerebrum is section into six lobes (frontal lobe, occipital lobe, two temporal lobes & two parietal lobes) that specialize in certain functions. The next brain division is the brainstem which is located directly at the top of the spinal cord. The brainstem serves as a conduit between the spinal cord and the brain. The brainstem is a transmitter of sensory information to the brain and away from the brain it is a key transmitter of motor information.

Hormonal disturbances-An each need to avoid any that can disrupt hormonal in the body. Studies shows that, brain will always keep up hormonal balance when nervous system responds properly to hypothalamus(part of brain) that connects with hormones releasing system(endocrine system).This enables hypothalamus to properly regulate basic needs such as thirst, hunger, sleep and sex in addition to stress and emotional responses. All this enables brain to stay healthy.
Each hemisphere is dominant for different traits. The right hemisphere is responsible for the creative thinking in your brain. (Creativity, imagination, music, etc.). Also responsible for our insight and left hand coordination skills. The left hemisphere is responsible for the logical style of thinking in your brain.

The cerebrum is divided into two hemispheres- the left hemisphere, and the right hemisphere. The right hemisphere is associated with creativity, and the left one is linked with logic. The brain stem controls basic life functions such as blood pressure, breathing, and heartbeat.
