America is a country that adores its past, present and future. To most of us, our past only serves to educate us about our future, but what we do daily determines our future. As a student, I therefore feel that it’s important that we learn more about what we need to do so as to achieve what we need in our lives. Our future is highly determined by our leaders, what they advocate for and the policies that they put in place are what keeps this country moving. In November last year, this country went into an election, the citizens and the congress elected President Donald Trump to take office as the 45th president of the United States, (Spring, 2017). Compared to his predecessors, President Trump seems to have some great ideas and focus
America, land of the free, place of opportunities, has been through a lot to get to where it is today. As much as there are lots of negative, we gain positivity and justices along the way. Our struggle for democracy is an ongoing and never-ending war, but as much it is our struggle for democracy and justice, we can create a more justified society for our future generation just like how our past generation fought for our basic rights. The great migration and the court case, Brown versus the Board of Education, has been events that may have occurred in the shortest amount of time, but has made a huge impact of America’s history for the better. As much this has made a significant contribution to history, there is still lots of work
Hi, today I will be presenting my paper to show how I feel about America and our hope for the future. I think that America can potentially be a better place than it is now, but we have some major work to do. Our country has went downhill in the past few years.
“Make America Great Again” has been the slogan that President-elected Donald Trump has used throughout his campaign. The “Make America Great Again” is a campaign slogan used in American politics that originated with Ronald Reagan campaign in the 1980s. The slogan was created in 1979, when the United States was suffering from a failing economy. The slogan was also used by former President Bill Clinton’s presidential campaign, although he later claimed the statement was a racist dog whistle during the 2016 election. He believes that when this slogan is mention, people come sliding in for support. In many cases, they don’t really know why they support a certain individual. This paper will look at how Donald Trump can become the “Make America Great Again” President. The paper will begin by looking at environmental policy. The paper will focus on Congressional relations. The third paragraph will look at how Donald Trump can “Make America Great Again” through the use of education. Finally, the paper will highlight on how all these strategies depend upon political will.
This history its change by the president Donald Trump in the way he is .
As you are keenly aware, on November 9th, 2016, Mr. Trump was elected the 45th President-Elect of the United States of America, and on January 20th, 2017 was sworn in for a four year term as the 45th President of the United States. With Republican majorities in both the United States House of Representatives as well as the United States Senate, the President has laid out a strong agenda on everything from immigration and national security to trade and regulatory reform. While this bold plan of action is not perfect, and there may potentially be areas where I disagree with my colleagues and the President, it is a plan that I am enthusiastic to delve into as our unified Republican government gets to work on behalf of the American people.
On January 20th, the nation will inaugurate a new president. What event, issue, fact, development or trend from American history between 1865 and 1990 would you want the president to know? Write an essay in which you explain why your choice is critical knowledge for the country’s new leader. Be sure to support your thesis with historical evidence.
As American citizens, it is our obligation to set up a future for the next generation. We have not achieved this goal yet. Right now America is divided.
Here we are, unfortunately Donald Trump is our president, it's going to be the worst
In terms of his relationship with the American public, Trump has exploited one of German sociologist Ferdinand Tonnies concepts of social relations known as Gesellschaft. According to Tonnies’ theories, social relationships or ties can be categorized by the distinct interactions amongst individuals, and the either personal or impersonal roles, or values and beliefs between them. In the case of Gesellschaft, Tonnies describes it as a large, urban society in which social bonds are based on impersonal and specialized relationships (lecture 9). In other words, the relationship between Trump and many of his supporters are not based in deep rooted tradition or close personal friendships, but instead on an impersonal relation that is viewed as rational, and derived as a response to their agreeance with Trump’s beliefs and ideologies. This support and devotion is apparent in many of Trump’s rallies; however, one rally on November 21st of last year particularly highlights the reality of negative influences within reference groups, and how they can be used to exercise immense power.
As the 36th president of the United States, Lyndon Baines Johnson, stated, “A president’s hardest task is not to do what is right, but [it is] to know what is right”. America has gone through times of war, slavery, terrorism, and other issues that have defined the country it is today. Although these obstacles may not be completely overcome, it is time to focus on the future. In order to ensure that America will prosper, it is our duty as American citizens to provide protection, a stable and cohesive government, and be unified as a country.
America has a distinctive and abundant history that has molded this nation into what it currently is; but how is the past relevant to the future? As the philosopher George Santayana once stated; “'Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” Essentially, if Americans are ignorant of their past, how can they advance forward into the future? The key to a successful future is located within the past.
The growth and maturity that the United States has been undergoing these last few centuries has affected the mentality of the people and government from being simple minded to becoming more open minded. As the nation grows from a small new country to a global superpower, many things have changed and continued to stay the same. Many of these things range from the how presidents have always been elected to the changes of technology Americans use daily. Over time, America’s position on the technology, people and beliefs have been molded and shaped to accommodate the time period which the country is in.
The United States is often brought up in the news lately due to its recently elected president, Donald Trump. From an outsider's perspective coming from Canadians, many of us see Donald Trump as hazard to the well being of the United States. The cartoon above demonstrates the direction of the future of the United States of America under President Trump’s leadership. It is clever for the artist to use a school bus as transportation of the “State”. This symbolizes the youth and future of the US, as well as the impact Trump’s leadership affects the future residents of the US. The back seats are reserved for those who are different and not highly respected. The black population as well as the transgender’s will experience very little of the states
Through many Centuries, America is claimed to be a nation which is a beacon to the world. This beacon of hope, freedom and prosperity is shown to be flawless. However, the claim of America’s greatness is due to a lack of information. America is known by it’s people to be a country of prosperity and a perfect savior to the world. However, it is only claimed to be this because of the untruthful information shared to people. The United States is without a doubt a great country, but without the truthful information given to it’s future generations, America will degenerate. Because of author bias, text book selectivity, lies such as racism, uncaring consumers, and universities’ incorrect focus, there is a generation that will grow uniformed which will leave them hopeless in contributing or making a life for their own.
Since the election of President Donald J. Trump, a president whose political viewpoints are entrenched by nativism, protectionism, and an apparent fondness for Russia, some analysts have made the claim that German Chancellor Angela Merkel is now the leader of the free world. Being at the forefront of the Syrian refugee crisis by maintaining Germany’s open-door refugee policy, and her intense support for free trade, it is understandable to comprehend why analysts assume that the mantel as protector of “Western Values” is now held by Angela Merkel. However, following the aftermath of President Donald J. Trump’s poisonous trip to Europe, there is now a new contender for the title “leader of the free world”, President Emmanuel Macron of
