The election of Donald Trump exposed the depths of division in America today, and the duration of his presidency, no matter how long, will be a true test of this nation. The American political system is made up of primarily two parties, Democrats and Republicans. These parties go against each-other for many political positions, such as presidency. My intent was to send the message of determination to my audience. I did this through a children’s book that shows anyone, especially kids, that if you are determined, you have the ability to accomplish anything. I chose the children’s book approach because you're able to effectively send a message in a simple, straightforward way, although it may be figurative in meaning.
