With the heat and pressure of the season fully upon us, it’s a nice change of pace lend a hand in our local communities. So, when the Prospect Valley Rebels little league baseball team needed help rebuilding their baseball field, they came to LGE. The field was in disrepair – full of weeds and rocks – making it an uninviting place to be, let alone a place to play baseball. LGE stepped up to the plate (pun intended) with donations of material, trucking, and equipment time. Along with helping hands from volunteers from the baseball team and the local community, the field was soon ready for the kids to play ball. Now this field is an enjoyable place to watch a baseball game on a hot summer afternoon.

Joseph is a redshirt senior who has appeared in 41 games for UConn, while registering 260 total tackles and 11.5 tackles for loss. Joseph is the leader of the defense and is responsible for lining of the linemen and linebackers. Joseph is active in run defense and has the ability to cover some tight ends and slower running backs. Joseph does not posses elite athleticism, which has turned into an essential trait for inside linebackers to succeed in the NFL today. Joseph plays sideline-to-sideline but does not have the speed to track down offensive players who breakthrough on the outside. Joseph will get a chance at the next level, but I believe there are stronger candidates for the 2018 Senior Bowl due to Joseph’s lack of athleticism.

Many families encounter the worst of sports related injuries, such as being paralyzed or even death upon playing. The NCHSAA should be more cautious upon high school athletics and make it a safer environment towards all contenders within the divisions. It is not the NCHSAA fault upon injuries, but they can make the biggest improvement upon sports to try and prevent many risky injuries. Kids will go through the pain of an injury, not to only sit and get ready to play again, but to learn an important lesson.

Howerver, Ms Messerli sounded unhappy and really upset about not contacting her children Nick and Alexander.

What year round baseball means is that players play baseball in the fall and winter months, this never happened in years before. Also kids are now being allowed times for their arms to rest and heal. Year round baseball should definitely be regulated one reason is the increasing amount of arm injuries in younger kids, Also the kids may burn out mentally and not want to play the sport anymore, they may just one day say they do not want to

Tyler was a seemingly healthy baseball player in the final moments of one of his games. He was under a higher than normal amount of pressure, where he was down to his final strike and needed a big hit to decisively win the game for his team. Tyler proceeded to successfully read the oncoming pitch, knowing exactly where it was going to come, and swung the bat with all his strength to deliver a homerun. The positive feedback of the hit from his bat was enough to confirm to Tyler that he had done it, however during the perceived midst of his achievement he was not thinking clearly where his bat was swinging after the contact with the ball. In the article “Position on Dodgeball in Physical Education” by NASPE, one can see how the author uses persuasive techniques to express his opinion on dodgeball in physical education. For example, the author uses lots of ethos through persuasive language. For instance, reading the opening paragraph the author uses authority one can see when, the author states “Thus, The National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE) would like to reiterate its position about including dodgeball in school physical education programs”(986).

Have you ever been so desperate that you were willing to give up? Alfred is seventeen year old boy who dropped out from high school. Alfred works at a grocery store and hangs out with street kids. Alfred begins to realize that he needs to do something he decided that he will be a Contender. He goes to Donatelli's gym to start his training. Donatelli is a very important person to Alfred throughout the story. He also gets good advice from him and learns a good important lesson.

Almost all student athletes get butterflies before that Friday night football game, before the fans get to watch them compete, or even the to get the ability to practice. Many argue that high school sports are a distraction in the classroom or even cause career ending injuries. There are many different scenarios that prove that high school sports do the exact opposite of those. When it comes to high school sports, it keeps students fit, boosts a student’s academic performance, and enhances a student’s self-esteem. High school sports are very beneficial and for anyone who is looking to take on a new challenge to take on.

Even though bowling is not just a game, it is a fun and relaxing sport that comes with minor risks just like any other sport. Most people think that bowling is just all fun and games and you just pick up a ball and throw is down the lane to try and knock down all of the pins. Many women out score the men on identical lane conditions and with the sport you will need to have exceptional hand-eye coordination and it also involves mental and physical precision. Where did bowling come from? What are the bowling terms that all bowlers should know before getting involved in the sport?How do you keep score? How are tournaments ran during High School Tournaments? These are questions that are being asked daliy to bowlers all over.

The game of football is being attacked. We see it every day in the headlines and on the news. The medical concerns are obvious. The game has taken more than its share of criticism. Even President Barack Obama said that if he had boys he wouldn’t let them play football. LeBron James publicly said no football in his house. So the question is asked all the time, Why would anyone want to play football? And why would anyone let their kids play? Here’s my answer. I believe there’s practically no other place where a boy is held to a higher standard then football. Football is hard, it’s tough, it demands discipline, it teaches obedience, it builds character. Football is a metaphor for life.
