It was July 1, 2015 when Kate Steinle was shot. She was walking on a busy pier with her father when the shooting happened. The man accused of shooting her was a 45 year old man: Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez. He is an undocumented immigrant that had been deported 5 times already and had seven felony convictions. Kate Steinle died that day during surgery. However, there is also some good immigrants that make the U.S. a better place. For example Cesar Millan, or the dog whisperer came into the Us illegally. "[For]"the poor and working class of Mexico, there is no other way to come to America except illegally. It's impossible," said Cesar Millan. Now Cesar Millan’s net worth is 25 million! As the stories show there are some pros and cons to having immigrants in our nation. Marco Rubio says: “We should be the pro-legal immigration party. A party that has a positive platform and agenda on how we can create a legal immigration system that works for immigrants and works for America.” Our current immigration policy is not sufficient at enforcing the rules and deporting illegal immigrants like in the Kate Steinle story.
