Personal Narrative: Where Are We Going?

It was the day after my sister's Quinceanera, and all my family was here. They were leaving back to their homes Monday morning, so keep in mind it is Sunday. All of our parents were talking outside and saw that us kids didn’t really have anything to do, so they decide to take us to a river that was 5 minutes away from my aunt's ranch. We packed up all our food and stuff and went right away.

When i went Destin, Florida. I went to Florida this summer after school was out . We went with my sisters best friend, and my best friend’s family. We drove from Arkansas all the way to Destin, Florida. The day we got there we went straight to the beach! It was the first time I had ever seen the ocean! The following day we decided to go down to the smoothie shack and get a smoothie then swim in the pool. The grown ups went to the beach while we were at the pool.

In the summer of June 2014,I woke up at 4:30 Thursday morning and got ready, packed our suit cases in the trunk of my car. Then I woke up my 4 daughters and they got ready really quick. Funny how for school they drag to get up from their bed and get dressed. But that day they didn't even hesitate to get up because they knew we were on vacation. Me and my girls were really excited to take our first road trip to the beautiful beach of South Padre Island . Of course it is gonna be a long drive but we were excited because we will be sight seeing and singing along to the radio. My family lives about 35 minutes from the beach, in a little town not to far. So when we all got in the car ,I drove to a gas station to fill up my car with gas for our trip and to grab a strong cup of coffee with hazelnut creamers.

When we got to the campsite we filled the tank up with water. When the tank was full we hurried to get everything back into the RV. Once we got to the site I stuffed the hose back into the place it goes into and closed and went back into the RV. When I came back out side I helped dad put up the tent and during that I got a bloody noise so I had to go into the RV. After an about an hour we finally got the tent up and then me and dad took the bikes down from the bike rack. After taking the bikes off the back I took my rip stick around the loop, which took awhile. After riding my rip stick we took a walk on the beach and played in the water a little after playing in the water we rinsed off and then took a shower. And came back and ate dinner. When I was 3 years old, just 19 months after my sister was born, we went on a trip to Florida. We had to wake up at about 3:00 a.m. ,because it takes us an hour to get are luggage in the truck and to get everyone up and dressed. Our truck was a black Suburban. It took an hour and a half to get the airport, an hour or two to get our 3 bags of luggage on the plane,to get breakfast,to get coffee for my Mom, Dad, Nana Pat, and, Papa Daryl. Finally, we got a security check for all of us.

Over my years of school, one big influence on me has always been sports. Ever since a young age, I have always enjoyed playing and watching sports. In my four years in high school, I have fell in love with the sport of lacrosse.

Last summer before school started my sister and I were told that we were going on a trip to Ute Lake in New Mexico. We had never been to New Mexico before, so we were super excited. We were told that we were taking my dad's cousin's jet ski with us. My sister and I could not wait to go to New Mexico.

Our next stop was on our way back home. Which was an island right beside Mexico which makes it part of Mexico. My excursion here was with my step aunt vise and my cousin Cory. We rode horses on a dessert trail around this huge horse ranch. It was fun, cool, hot, and beautiful excursion. After that we went to eat somewhere on the island. Which is also were I first held an iguana and a red, blue macaw on my head.

Like it was yesterday I remember my first vacation on a cruise. My Dad and I went on a three- day long cruise to The Bahamas. I had never been on a cruise, so it was a new experience for me. We needed to be in Tampa for our departure, so we drove the two hours from Orlando, Florida to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. My Dad and I used this time to talk, make plans for the trip and think about our upcoming adventures on the cruise.

We woke up at 5 am When it was pouring rain to get on the cruise ship the ship was absolutely phenomenal. I’ll get into that at a later time. The first Island we went to is called Grand Turk In Turks and Caicos. Now this island we have already gone to previously so we knew what we were gonna do there. The second we got off the ship we took a half a mile walk down the beach to this place called “Jack’s Shack” where they serve THE BEST Jerked chicken and play music and serve drinks to you while you lay

We went downstairs and made ourselves some breakfast. After we were reasonably full and had good amounts of energy from our coffee we decided to get cleaning. We went upstairs and started cleaning my room. We then cleaned the rest of the house so it was absolutely spotless. My house is fairly big though, so it took about a good two hours to clean it. It was roughly around 2 clock almost 3. Angel and I wanted to get out of the house and get some food. So I texted my mom and told her we were going to McDonald’s. We gathered up some money and hopped on our bikes and rode about a block down to Mcdonald’s. We got our food and sat in one of the tables in there and just ate and talked and hung

The first day in Florida was really exciting for me because I’ve never been there and it was a first time experience with Florida. We went to go get breakfast and I saw the lady that was on the plane with me there! After breakfast we decided to meet up with family that stayed in Florida and we went to some shops and explored around the city. The weather in Florida was kind of chilly that day so we didn’t get to do much. After that we went to go eat, then went back to the hotel. At the hotel we all decided to go out to the pool. We put on our swimming suits and headed downstairs to the nice outdoor pool. After a while we went inside and watched Netflix on our phones while some of us slept.
