Personal Narrative: My Visit To Texas Tech University

I was a student attending Grand Canyon University. As you already know my grades do not reflect what I earned in high school, there are reasons why this occurred but to be honest they were things that should not have affected me. However, they did and it was the online courses, the failed attempt to communicate and understand what was needed of me from my student advisor, the study process, and my roommates. I was used to turning things in by hand not through the internet, the school did however sent us instructions by email but it was very difficult to use. There were many steps to turn in an essay or a worksheet and you had to sure that your laptop could open all of the documents. Sometimes my laptop would crash because I had so many documents on it that it couldn't handle it.

East Carolina University is and has always been a dream school for many students including myself. I have grown up hearing about the University and it is nothing short of spectacular. Many family members of mine have attended East Carolina, and I have always pictured myself at this school. It would be an honor to be a pirate. Throughout high school I have struggled in Science and Math. I know I could have done better in high school but in life you can always do something better, im eager to push myself more and work harder than ever to succeed as an adult, if given the chance There are many times when I should I have put school in front of my extra curricular activities such as dancing, art, work, tennis, and swimming. When I think about what I could contribute to Florida A&M University based on the knowledge that I do have with your institution is that i’m a extremely committed student who has beliefs that you can do anything that you set your mind to. There may be some times when I may feel discouraged but why must if I feel like that if things aren’t easily handed to you. Dallas Baptist University has been at the top of my college enrollment list for quite some time. I fell in love with the campus after my visit in November of 2015. The chapel was the number one thing that caught my eye. The beauty and the structure was just breath taking. I could see myself attending the services and worshiping along with newly made friends. I have been in contact with a current student at DBU, and she has been very helpful in answering my questions and encouraging me to attend the college. Why Tulane? There are plenty of obvious reasons for wanting to go to Tulane. For one thing it’s in New Orleans, and who doesn’t love New Orleans? I live on the North Shore.        On Thursday, August 20th 2015 I was accepted into College of Southern Nevada. On Friday, August 21st, 2015 I arrived onto the CSN West Charleston Campus at around seven o'clock in the morning to be one of the first people to take the math, reading, and writing placement tests for the day. In the fall of 2005, I took my first steps onto the campus of Appalachian State University with my sister who was entering as a freshman. One of my most vivid memories from my childhood is walking hand in hand with my then eighteen year old, wide eyed, and prospective sister into the Watauga dorms. Afterwards, as we left down King Street, I distinctly remember gazing back towards the magnificent North Carolina mountains and yearning to stay. Even at the age of five, I knew that one day I would follow in her footsteps and become an Appalachian Mountaineer.

As summer concluded the new school year approached, senior year. Not only was this year going to be full of surprises, but also stress about college planning and admission. Having moved to three different high schools I was excited to finally settle at Coppell and graduate in Texas. Even though this location was new to me I was satisfied with how well I fit in. During summer break in august I went there with my grandma.some people might get a plane vasue the trip is so long but for us we drove down.It took us 3 to 4 days to finally get to where we needed to be going.It takes along time to get there only cause from driving so long you will need to rest so we went to a hotel every night and then we got something to eat for breakfast and dinner.

My family has a background of going to Texas at least once every year. The year that I went it was going to be mother's day, and both my mom & dad wanted to go and see their families down there in Texas. My mom and dad told me that we were going to go I was excited i’d get to see my family again, and spend time with them. It’s always fun when we go to visit everyone just having a good time. When they told my sister she wasn't that excited she knew that she’s have to leave her girlfriend, but she ended up warming up to the idea because she knew my mom and dad hadn't seen their families in a while and they never really get to see them that often.

Hello everyone. I moved to the United States 5 years ago when I was 15, and started my high school experience at Coppell High School. Right now, I am a sophomore in college and about 20 years old, and I was living in Dallas for all of those years except this year because of the University that I am attending, the University of Texas at Austin, so I am currently living at Austin to be close to the University. There is a ticket in my hand that grants me the admission to the University of Texas at Austin. With this ticket I will go to UT Austin and make the most out of my time trying to get a degree in computer science. I have worked very hard for this ticket and I’m glad that I finally got it. At UT, I will take the best classes and study hard to get the best grades so that I can get my degree. This is important because I want to reach my goals and make new higher goals after I complete them. Also, I would join many clubs and organizations to stay active while I am in college. This will help me do many more great things after I finish college.

Like I mentioned earlier, I go to Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, and the very first thing that I noticed when I got to this school is just how liberal it really is. My favorite example is that the head of our political science department, and the professor that teaches all of my political philosophy classes, is not only the advisor for the Student Socialist Union, but also an active participant. I have yet to find a truly conservative professor on this entire campus. I’ve heard over and over again that capitalism is destroying this country, or that conservatives are out of touch and don’t know what’s going on.
