My best experience was meeting up with my cousins in Minneapolis. That was the best weekend I could ever ask for. Our moms surprised us by letting us leave school early and go to a hotel to meet up with each other. It was a girls weekend there were no boys aloud. Swimming, shopping, and going out to eat were the first few things on our bucket list that we made when we got there. Unloading the van was the first thing we did. Us younger girls Ellie, Abby, Madison, LeAnn, and me shared on room and the parents got the other room. One of the rooms had a hot tub and jets. The other room only had a normal shower. We went out to eat the first night we were there because we were all so happy to see each other and get to hang out. We went to Emacrumbies to eat supper, and I got a stuffed animal that now is my favorite stuffed animal. …show more content…
Ellie and I were the last ones in the water because we are known as the mermaids in the family. The best part about hanging out with her and my other cousins is because they live really far away and when we get to see them it is a big deal. The only times a year that we get to see them is at Christmas and the 4th Of July because otherwise if we are lucky one more time and that is it for the year. That night as soon as we were showered off and in the hotel we got our pajamas on and played a few games and then went to bed so that we were well rested for the big day that we were going to have the next day. Waking up together and eating breakfast that they served for free was a BLAST. The mall was just calling our names. Hurry, Hurry, Hurry was going through all of our heads because our parents were wanting us to get in the car to head over to the mall. As soon as we got there we were planning on shopping until our feet
We were pulling up at the parking lot of Knott's soak city it was so full. I was so exited. First we had to get our tickets. Second we had to find some chairs. Then we went to a pool called The wave cove. And every 5 minutes waves would hit. It was so fun to swim over them. After that we went to a big water slide that was 50 feet tall. My little cousin went on one that was 4 feet tall. Then we ate pizza and salad. Then we went to the Lazy river that took you around Knott's soak city.
Once we got to San Antonio we got lost for about 15 minutes because of a road contruction. It was fun with my girls we were singing, talking about there school and we saw diffrent park attractions and all kinds of other places. Finally at around 11:30 a.m we got to Harlingen, Texas at my sisters house safe and sound. But that didn't stop us , once we got there we just picked up my sister and my nephew and we headed to the beach of South Padre Island. We were almost there because you can start to smell the fresh salt water and see the big 2 mile stretch of the bridge. Once we arrived we parked right by the water on the sand. My girls just got off my car and started running towards the waves of water. Me and my sister watched while my nephew and my girls were splashing in the water. We really enjoyed that day. We had a barbeque and played volley ball, relaxed on top of a float in the
The first time I went to camp. My grandpap has a hunting camp in Clearfield and took my cousins and I up there for the weekend. It was the funniest weekend I’ve ever had, we went went turkey hunting one day, and fishing the next day. It was a good guys weekend. Every night we would have a fire and cook on it. We would cook wings, pizza, steak and fish. The fish was my favorite. The worst thing about camp is the beds are in the same room so when we go to bed I could hear my pap snoring so I didn’t get that much sleep. Every morning I would wake up too a very good smell of breakfast cooking and I would go out and eat and wait till everyone got up. Then when everyone was up we would go in the woods and squarl hunt until lunch time. When it was
It was so crazy, we also went swimming a lot, it was so much fun. I went all the way to the bottom, it was nine feet and I could barely even breathe, it was kind of scary. We went bowling too and I won. We go every
My my cousin Zack, his girlfriend at the time Skylar, Zack’s mom, my second mom, my amazing and caring mom Becky, my very good friend Amber and I went to the cities for a weekend to go shopping and watch some Team ND Hockey. After a long day of stressful hockey games and going into double overtime Zack’s team ended winning that game and moving into the championship game held the next day at 8:ooam, yes 8:00 in the morning, killer right? Since his game that day was at noon and got over around 2:00 we had the whole day to do what every girl does best, shop. Oh and if you are Zack this is what he does best also. It wasn’t that nice out but we didn’t care because all we wanted to do was go shopping. It was the last weekend in September so it was
One Thursday while they were here my mom, the five girls, and my two younger brothers piled into our minivan and drove to a nearby boat dock to swim. The temperatures were soaring at a coma-inducing 95 degrees, and the sun was sweltering. I was miserable and sweaty. Once we got there the big girls took off our outer layer of clothes and took a picture to post on social media later. Then, as I got my towel out and ready for when I
I believe there is a value in being able to turn an everyday event into a spectacle that’s worth reading into. With that being said, Chills rattled through my bones as the automatic doors opened before me; I’m underdressed. Upon first glance I notice the glint of the interior lighting reflecting off the marble-white tiles. I take note of the scent; Freshness. I think of the convenience of having these natural grown resources surrounding me. Before now, I would never have the luxury of purchasing an out-of-season delicacy at a location so near my residence. Frozen, I was astonished by the sheer amount of ripe, mossy green avocados that sat in a pine wood container before me. I muster the courage the to extend my unworthy
cars there. We check in to the hotel and found our room and settled in. We went downtown in mackinaw there is a haunted building we were going to but are dad had a meating and you walk or ride in a carriage. Went to a toys and got to see how they make laffy taffy the flavor was bubblegum We got to eat some. I Didn't like it really then we got to buy stuff I got a toy and a shirt. When I went to lagoon i had a blast because I went with my uncle. And we got on all the rides including the wicked. The first time a made friends was when where where at the playground and I got hurt and this kid helped me and we became best friends.the best time was when i got on my first soccer team because my team was very bad but then I started to get better at soccer after a couple years and when i was 10 i was asked to be on the black hawks.
I was at home sitting on the couch and watching the Weather Channel and I was thinking about how bad the hurricane was getting and I wondered how my cousins were doing because I knew that they lived in Katy which is a city near houston. I gazed at the T.V. as if I was also there. I felt comfortable sitting on the couch as I relaxed. All of the sudden a big flash on the T.V. screen appeared that said something so terrifying that I felt a sick feeling in my stomach. The sight of the words “Tornado Watch in Katy” on the T.V. screen made me feel a sick feeling. I began to listen more closely to the T.V. because I knew Katy was about to get flooded, and I started feeling scared about what was going to happen to my cousins. I care for my cousins
Do you like being talked to? Do you like having meaningful conversations? I do to an extent being an introvert, but that is another story. What about living within the walls of your house with others and not talking with them unless they wanted something? It’s a little odd isn’t it trying to imagine not talking with someone unless they wanted something. But you know, many of us do it all the time, every day in fact.
The next morning we were sleeping in because we were so terribly tired, but our cousins woke us up. And we havn’t seen them in four years since that trip and there my best friends. We spent our first day swimming and getting used to each other, for the rest of the days we were signed up for beach camp with our cousins, that’s where you would surf and swim and tube and see new animals and learn spanish and meet new friends. And then after that we would swim more and fish and take pictures.
Finally, Karlie showed up eventually we all went to the jumping pillows and jumped around with these boys that at first looked pretty cute but were real jerks. After we got back we went swimming in the lake and my mom said that I had to help set up our tents before I could do anything so she was sort of a fun killer. I got out of the water to help my mom when my mom gave me a pack of water balloons which of course we blew up to throw at people.
The first time I went to Massachusetts I went for an entire week I was only 15 years old my grandparents drove me to York County and then I was picked up by Caitlin 's parents and brought to their house in Marlboro, Massachusetts. We had a lot of fun, but because of our age, we were limited to what we could do. We couldn 't go to the store by yourself. We couldn 't go to the mall by yourself. We couldn 't do much other than go for walks that the place is only a mile away. Caitlin got me hooked on Monster when I was up there so I had seven in one week and ended up going home with a UTI, and my hair blonde when I was trying to make it light brown. When I was there it was hard because Caitlin 's mom was always telling her she needs to clean she need to watch her siblings, she needed to do everything that her mom said and we spend the entire vacation cleaning and doing work that her mom wanted. Those were all the cons. The pros of the trip was that I got to see her and got to spend the ride
It was Tuesday, July 18th. I was a nervous wreck. In desperate need of clothes to wear to impress... her. I begged my best friend Todd to join me at Woodfeild mall. He gave in and we went. Todd and I shopped for hours. Nothing looked good enough for...her. We were running out of time. I made-do with four short sleeve shirts from Champs and two pairs of sweatpants shorts from h&m. The total came out seventy dollars. We walked out and got into Todds car. I was shaking the entire ride home. Will she like it? Am I going to look fat? What about my acne? What if she doesn’t end up liking me? Nothing else crossed my mind as we pulled up to my house and I was dropped off. There was around an hour and a half until I had to leave. I walked inside
