Personal Narrative Analysis

Throughout the past year I went through a great deal of undertakings that caused me to become more experienced with my skills and how to overcome various challenges. These really built up my character and the way I am today. In all aspects, this past year consisted of going to Killington, Vermont, my brother going into the Air Force, meeting him in Texas for his graduation of basic training, completing a double backflip on a trampoline, landing a front flip on flat ground, accomplishment of a 2 ½ front flip on a diving board, getting 2nd at leagues, and competing in districts. All of these activities have advanced me in a skill or challenged me to an extent.

For many, their formative years have a large influence on who they become as adults. This can happen in many different ways including new experiences, discovering a new sport or hobby, and uncovering what they are passionate about. For me, this was falling in love with a new language from a very young age and becoming very interested in the culture that was associated with it.

As well as there is the other sentence in this article said, “They undoubtedly saw rainbow patterns in the misty spray, but were convinced they had discovered a fairy grotto.” I would like to visit South Island and Milford Sound again as last time I did not see a rainbow. I would imagine that I rotate my neck to see the rainbow, it would be as a heaven, discovered a fairy grotto. Event though, “Jessie explains that Milford Sound is actually a fiord, carved out by a glacier and then flooded by the sea, whereas a sound is a flooded river valley.” For my opinion, it seems that Milford Sound is just a fiord rather than a sound. However, it is still the most experienced traveller, which means you won’t regret to travel under the one of the most

Failure is truly negative if we choose to not learn from it. When we face setbacks and difficulties, we are given golden opportunities to grow as people. Learning from our shortcomings makes us wiser, stronger, and unveils a chance to turn an undesirable outcome into a building block of character. My hockey career has been a sinusoidal trail of highs and lows, but I always learned from the downturns.

Last summer was my most memorable summer so far. It was full of injuries, trips, and lots of my friends. I first took a dive straight off my horse, second I went zip lining on Mackinac Island in Michigan. After that I competed in my county fair. Next, summer will have a hard time taking the place of the summer of 2015.

In my dream I was playing at the state soccer championship, and we were versing Spencer. It felt good being able to play this game because no one ever believed we would make it this far. Back to the dream the game just started, and we were trailing behind 1-0. We were all nervous because we thought that it was going to be a 10-0 game like always. All of a sudden I could hear someone out in the fans saying “JUDITH”, and cheering me on. So this made me get pretty excited, and I begun to play so much better, as this happens I pass the ball to Julie, and she just happened to be a the top of the 18 all alone. She shot… AND SHE SCOOORED. The game was now tied. Now there was only 3 minutes of them game left and Julie has the ball at half. (I decided to let Amber go up as a midfielder, and I would stay back to take her spot as a defender so she could make her first and last goal of her HS career.) Now there was a minute left Julie passed it to Amber, and Amber was at a good spot where she could shoot with her left. She took the chance, and scored just that moment we were up by one, and we ended up winning.

Back when I still wore pigtails, I remember always feeling like an afterthought by my parents. I understood why, and it was justifiable. Since I was the eldest, and my younger brother was put on the autism spectrum, I knew I had to grow up extra quick, for Father always worked and Mother had her plate full, trying to raise us. I would do my chores without being asked and do my homework without needing help, just so Mother could have one less child to worry about. My brother, however, had to have everything done for him. He even needed Mother to brush his pearly whites for him. It was just one more duty to add to the infinite list of responsibilities Mother had to do for my brother.

When i was born, i had a breathing problem, and paralyzed from head to toe. The doctor had to straped tubes to me, so I can breath properly. They have to perform operations on me, but It was unsuccessful. The doctor said, that i will die in a couple of hours. My mom and dad were shocked that was still alive in the morning. I was recovered so fast it was a miracle. A year later, i was out the hospital. 10 year laters, my parent was watching nba on tv ,while i was sleeping in my bed. Then the power went off suddenly. BOOM!! Glass broke.! I woke up and got curious where the sound came from, so i got out of bed, grab my baseball bat and went to investigative.i tiptoe into the hall wall trying not to make a sound. It was a day that I had been waiting for all season, why? Because it meant that the pain was going to be over and it was my final race to prove how good I really was to everyone and hopefully fulfill the goal my coach, school and fans set for me. That morning of October 28th I woke up really sick to my stomach. Nerves were taking over my body and I couldn't sit still. The ride to the course I remember putting my headphones in and zoning everything out and never truly coming out of it till after the race was over. I remember my mom hugging me and telling me how proud of me she was and that no matter how bad my shins hurt to keep running. My coach grabbed me before I went to the starting line and surprisingly said how proud he was of me too, but that it wasn't over so that could change. It was so cold outside and I remember being able to see my breath and worrying that it was going to really effect my performance. I could also see the

The last day of nine grade went over it with many memories in any place that I have been in my old school. In the front of the office building had a small phoenix tree but that time, it was full-grown into a big man tree. A phoenix usually would be bloom in August and disabled when the school was over as in June or summer time.

I was in seventh grade and it was finally summer. This summer I was going to travel around Europe with my family. I was super exited as this was going to be the best trip ever. Then before we left for Europe I was in the pool and I got out. My mom noticed that one of my hips was higher than the other. The next day she brought be to a doctor and they said I had scoliosis. I had no idea what that was. Once they told me that it means that my spine is curved I didn’t really care.

Season three of my life I would have to say is the best so far but I pray that it gets better. Once I graduate from High School I went right to work. I had moved out of my sister and I was finally independent. I got a small apartment downtown Los Angles, CA. I got my first real job working at Boeing in the mailroom in Long Beach. Her son worked in the wireless industry selling cellphone in Canoga Park. Canoga Park was a big change for me. It was a great environment that I can to love. I fell in love with this environment because everyone was in charge of his or her own destiny. For the first time in my life I felt hope. I could make as much money that I wanted to and I love that. With my heart beating frantically, I tried to control my breathing. “Leah Hoag?” a stern voice called from behind the oversized doors. I glanced down at my bag of supplies once more, inhaled a slow, deep breath, and stepped into the room. Little did I know that the round of the clinical nursing competition I was about to walk into would fortify my love for the nursing profession. Visiting the pediatrician’s office as a little girl, I viewed the nurses as heroes dressed in scrubs because I saw them first and sometimes were the ones who made me feel better without having to see the doctor. The profession holds a special place in my heart because both my grandmother and great-grandmother were nurses. Nevertheless, I had not seriously thought about becoming one of my scrub-clad heroes, but, rather, had only admired from afar.

People everywhere have this theory that the bad guys are easy to spot. Antagonists are typically ugly, insane, and powerful, among other qualities. They are also most commonly male and, most importantly, they know what they are doing. I'm here to tell you that this isn't always true. Kids believe from a young age that bullies from school are 'bad', and that parents and friends are 'good'. But growing up has led me to realize something: most of the time, parents are not the heroes we make them out to be. They can, in fact, be the direct cause of playground bullies. And friends can come and go like dandelion seeds in the wind.

This weekend was going to be one to remember. I was so excited to go visit a college campus and visit my friend at the same time. My mom was letting me go up on Thursday night and skip school Friday so it would be an extra-long and fun weekend. Who knew that one simple thing could ruin my excitement.
