The last day of nine grade went over it with many memories in any place that I have been in my old school. In the front of the office building had a small phoenix tree but that time, it was full-grown into a big man tree. A phoenix usually would be bloom in August and disabled when the school was over as in June or summer time. I filled out all the information for applying to the high school that my mother liked me to go. That was Nguyen Hue high school as the best high school in my town. I spent all my summer for study because I had to take the test before I decided to go there. This test was be liked ACT test that all 11 grade had to take it. My teacher said “The special test will be on Monday, June 3rd”. I did not sleep very well …show more content…
They said, “Congratulation, you were accepted by your score on this test. Be ready and prepare anything you need for this school year. Welcome to our school”. I did not know what just happened so I called to my mom and told her that, “ Mom, I did it. I do not know how I did it or what I should do right now, Mom?”. She was screaming as a huge tornado, I could hear her heart beat through the phone.
I would become a freshman high school in three more weeks. I became matured or full-grown. I did not know how to explain clearly but you would understand when the time was coming.
My mother is a person who can hold my hand, shows me the way to jump out of all the struggles in the life. She is my hero forever. She taught me how to being a good person, or how I would do after I tripped up or failed. Mom and dad bought a small bike for me on my 12th birthday, it liked an islabikes cnoc with two back wheels to make balance for the kids. They taught me how to use it but I had no ideas how I could start. He cradled me up onto the saddle while I hold his hand tightly because I thought I would fall down if he released my shoulder. My mom was standing behind, cheering up to me for my first
This turning point would change the way I work and study. Growing up I didn’t take school that seriously. I understood that school was important but I left many assignments to the last minute. It wasn’t until 7th grade where it became a problem. My mom told me if I didn’t pass my Science test, she would take away my electronics.
Jump forward a couple years to my 8th grade year. It was my last year in middle school before I moved up to high school.
All sports require time and dedication to a certain extent. Dance has been my passion and weekend activity since I was three and became a very serious thing from seven to around twelve. I danced at a studio until I entered middle school at K.O. Knudson and dance was my major. I left K.O. and moved to Summerlin where I now attend Palo Verde. I received dance as my elective, being weary about the class considering I was also recovering from a back injury even during my time at K.O. and on top of that knowing I was loosing all of my skill from being absent forever and a day.
I moved away as fast as i could to get some distance but then realized that this cat wanted me dead and i couldn't run so i had to fight. I ran and pounced on the cat like it did to me and i hit it with all of my force right on its chest. The cat let out a loud cry i felt relieved that i wasn't dying. I hit the cat again since it was still on the ground. Quickly the cat got up and ran away. I stood back watching this cat bllt down the street in pain and fear. The wound that this cat gave me on my face wa now catching up to me and it started to hurt. I turned around feeling like i was on top of the world reevaluating the fight in my mind thinking about how i could have improved my fighting technique. I kept walking until i got to the fence of
I found this week’s reading in the course text on custom fitting shotguns to be quite interesting because I’ve almost always had a shotgun in my home, but I’ve never done any work to customize the scatter guns I’ve owned… I think That’ll be changing pretty soon. Prior to getting into shotguns in this course I never had an idea as to how some custom work could enhance the performance of a shotgun. I knew there was a ton of work that could be done, but because I was never really into wing shooting or whatnot I never saw how it might help me out.
All my life I have had the opportunity to travel and broaden my horizons. I have been blessed with the ability to accumulate to different cultures and environments. From being born in Italy, moving to Japan, and now currently residing in Louisiana, I have seen more than what most others can only dream. Those three very different places are just a few of the dozens areas of the world I have traveled to, yet out of all of destinations I have visited New York City most definitely tops the list. This city is a world of it's own in my eyes. There is no other place I can see myself continuing my journey in life. It is no secret that college is a major stepping stone in the life of a young adult. It carves the path to their future. Ever since I can remember my parents have pushed me towards gaining a good
Losing two of my best friends within six months of each other was one of the hardest things I have had to do. They were a major part of my life for almost 17 years, before they left. Through this experience, I learned to be an example of kindness, hard work, and diligence for those around me.
I am a proud San Francisco native, whose parents come from Mexico and Guatemala. Due to housing opportunities, my family moved from San Francisco to the Peninsula, where we eventually rented a house in South San Francisco. South San Francisco is what I consider to be home and my community. I grew up in a Mexican, single-parent household with my mother and brother. Alongside my mother, I witnessed and experienced at an early age sexism, racism, and poverty. My mother was discriminated against the majority of her life not only because she was a woman, but a Mexican woman at that. Many times, she was unable to get a decent, living-wage job and had to repeatedly settle for low-paying jobs as a house-cleaner, babysitter, and even selling water filters door-to-door. I remember playing with the newest toys only when my mom
What I am going to talk about is what one of my main personal narratives are. I feel that one of my main personal narratives would be adaptability. I feel that I am very adaptable as for everything I’ve been through. Throughout my life I have had to adapt to a lot of things.
Some time passed as my siblings and I patiently awaited for some news. Some hopefully good news. My mom had called to let
Statistics show that around 50% of married couples get divorced in the United States, which would make my family and I just another statistic. 8 years ago, I was only 10, my brother was barely 7, my mom decided to leave my dad. I clearly remember sitting in the car with my nana, I was a smart kid, and asking her what was going to happen with my mom and dad. She didn’t beat around the bush or talk down to me as a child, she said “I think they’ll end up divorcing.” And to many people’s surprise, I felt excited at that idea. It wasn’t that my parents constantly fought or were abusive, but somehow I knew at 10 years old that the best thing for all of us was this separation.
It was 2007 and my family was planning on taking a trip to the Philippines, I was so excited I have always wanted to meet all my other family there. My parents thought that me missing two months of school wouldn’t matter, because it was just 2nd grade. Also since we got all my homework before I would leave.
I found myself exhausted after working at construction during a scorching hot morning and the time had finally came for lunch. Once I and my coworkers arrived at the restaurant, me being somewhat a regular made my order quickly and sat down in chair next to where the ingredients were chosen. Just as I sat down I noticed a business man who was choosing what he wanted on his sandwich, and in the meantime a woman had just walked in the door of the restaurant and placed her order. She then immediately walked over and stood next to the guy choosing what he wanted just as he was asking for some extra hot sauce. The woman looked to be somewhat in a rush, considering she just pulled what some comic book geeks would call a Barry Allen. The business
I entered this crazy world on June 10th 2001 with a full head of hair and screaming as loud as I could with only one sister always wondering what I was. Apparently some weird alien thing that just appeared in her life at the age of two. Over the years I learned that I was in love with animals. I had 2 cats and a bearded dragon named Kristna ,who would constantly chase me around my sister's room while my sister just laughed. My sister and I were always very different. I was always into hair and makeup she was more into dinosaurs and cars but somehow we always made it work. Whether it was “doing the dinosaurs hair or having my barbies get run over by her race cars we always seemed to have the best of times. We grew up always playing together
I can almost remember that day like it was yesterday, I awoke like on any other school day. It was a gorgeous May morning, the rays of sun flittered through my miniblinds blinding me as if I hadn’t seen light in days. I sluggishly dragged my limp body out of
