The first half of the Peach Bowl was a defensive duel, and Houston Football shut down Florida State. The 3rd Ward defense made Dalvin Cook a total nonfactor, and other than two long passes to start off a couple of drives the QB play of the Seminoles was another nonfactor. The starting QB for Florida State, Sean Maguire was injured his left ankle early in the first quarter trying find an open receiver as he rolled out and took a big hit. Backup QB J.J. Cosentino had to come in, and was not ready. The front seven for the Cougars were consistently in the backfield, and caused havoc for Florida State’s offense. Cook fumbled after Houston took a 14-3 lead with just over 5 minutes left in the half, and have the Cougars the ball in the red zone and scored on a 6 yard run by Ward for his second rushing touchdown of the half. On Florida State’s following drive Maguire underthrew that would have been a touch if he hit his receive in stride, but it was picked off by William Jackson III. However, the Seminoles defense stepped up and caused a 3 and out. The Cougars went into half with a 21-3 lead. Ward scored on a 7 yard run for the first touchdown of the day as Houston went 64 yards in 11 plays in 2 minutes and 33 seconds as they picked up the pace on the drive. Florida State followed with a field goal. Both defenses stepped up after the scoring and FSU intercepted a tipped pass, then the teams punted back and forth before Houston scored another touchdown. The second touchdown was a pass from WR Demarcus Ayers on a reverse to WR Chance Allen. The pass was Ayers second passing TD on the season that capped off a 7 play 75 yard drive that only took off 2 minutes and 7 seconds off the
In the first game they crushed the team that they faced but Jake got a concussion and couldn't play the next game. So Casey played and didn't do so well but the other team didn't either so it was tied 13-13. Casey did a short pass to the running back who was running a screen route to get a touchdown in overtime to win the game and their football team was going to the championship game. Jake was cleared to play so he got to play in the championship game.

WVU jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning. Kyle Gray doubled down the left field line and scored on Cole Austin's base hit. Marques Inman's double drove in two runs and then the sophomore crossed the plate on Jimmy Galusky's single to right center.
Fort Frye, who has a stud running back seem to try and keep Newark Catholic defense off ballanced or had other reason for not feeding him as much as they had in their previous games. That line of play calling made Tate Engle look uncomfortable most of the night, from where I was setting and with 8:20 left in the half, he would be picked off by, #37 Jacob Lumbatis, giving Newark Catholic the ball on the Cadets
The Horned Frogs (28-19, 9-10) jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Coby Boulware singled up the middle before stealing two bases. He scored on a groundout off the bat of Michael Landestoy.

The Cougars used a screen pass from Tyquwone Workman to Tanner Conley , to pick up 21-yards, with 10:39 left in the quarter. At the 9:58 left Workman got a 7-yard gain from Workman. Workman used his legs to pick up 14-yards on a 3rd and fifteen call at 8:37 mark. On the 4th down play,Matt Bailey picked up 11-yards, with 8:32 showing on the clock. The Cougars scoring dreams ended on a a missed field goal.
On second-and-goal, Patriots safety Patrick Chung was flagged for holding Demaryius Thomas on a play where Osweiler was sacked for a huge loss. If that flag wasn't thrown, the Broncos were looking at 3rd and goal from the 19-yard line. Just like that the game could have been over. Instead, due to the penalty it was first-and-goal on the 4-yard line.
The Boxers’ extended the lead to 29-7 on a 30-yard touchdown pass from Summerfield to Williams on the first drive of the second half for the home team. However, the scoring stopped for Houston until they went down by 20 points for the second time in the game. The Cougars scored quickly after going down by 20 in the fourth with a 10 yd run by running back Kenneth Farrow. On the following possession for Memphis they fumbled on a pitch to the running back Doroland Dorceus that was recovered by Nick Thurman.
