A moment of nostalgia may set in if you think back to your early childhood. Most of us have a favorite cartoon and chances are it's probably one created by Walt Disney. A man from humble beginnings, grew to be one of the most influential entrepreneurs in film history. Early life for Disney was a bit complicated he dropped out of high school at the age of 16. He wanted to join the army during WW1 but due to his age he was rejected, Walt was able to serve in the Red Cross Ambulance Corps after he forged his age to 17. "Walt’s actual birth year reflected, 1901, would still keep him from the Ambulance Corps so Walt himself, determined to go, changed it to 1900. On September 16, 1918, he enlisted."(waltdisney.org) After serving ten months he was home. Its a good thing he didn’t meet his demise in the war. Safety signs are very common in all kinds of organizations. For example, Walt Disney World has safety signs everywhere. No matter if you parked your car at Peter Pan 224 at the Magic Kingdom or if you parked in the employee parking lot of Epcot before you head to work, you would able to see safety signs including stop signs, pedestrians crossings, exits, and so on. All the safety signs should be guides to prevent any safety issues. Last year, the tragedy incident that happened in a Disney resort which is a two-year-old boy drowned by alligator made people concerned about the safety on Disney properties. Even the resort has no swimming sign there, it seems some people just not follow the rules the way they should.
The films of Walt Disney have served as icons of childhood over the last century. The Disney Corporation’s success is evidenced in its financial fortitude. In 1995, Walt Disney Company had the biggest market share, relative to the number of releases, at 19% (Smith & Thompson, 1996). In 1997, Disney had sales of nearly $24 billion.
