Not only did my father encouraged charity, but he practiced what he advocated. This experience is the core foundation for my desire to be a registered nurse. In addition, being able to control my emotional stability to cope with human suffering, emergencies, and stress would make me connect with my job better. In conclusion, I can’t imagine a more fulfilling career other than being a nurse. Nursing is not what I do, it’s who I am. If you think you love it, jump in and don’t let any obstacle stand in your way. For me, being a nurse is hard work though and has the variety of pressure associated with it. The career that I plan on pursing would hands down have to be Certified Nursing Assistant. Some people may wonder why I decided to settle with this profession so I guess we’ll just have to take a walk down memory lane. Ever since I was a little girl I love watching nurses work. I watched my grandmother struggle with her health issues and I also watched how caring and proficient the nurses were towards my grandmother. Another thing that draws me towards the career is the flexibility. A nurse is able to obtain a job in almost any state as long as they get the correct license for the state. Also, they are able to work in many different settings. A nurse can work in an office setting where the hours are set and they work a normal eight to five job. They are also able to work in a hospital setting, the hours differ when working at a hospital and some are required to work weekends and holidays. The physical demands for both setting would be different. Hospital settings would require lots of walking from room to room as well as running in certain emergency settings. In either setting though a nurse is required to be on their feet for long periods of time. It is not a job to where you would be stuck behind a desk.

I think it is very important to use the knowledge I have in my area of expertise to instruct others where it is needed. I realize that not everything will always be perfect or smooth, and there is only so much I can do. However, many of the rough patches can be eased with hard work and a good outlook. I want to be able to form great relationships with my colleagues as well as the client and facilitate everyone working together. Nursing is a respectable profession and I hope to contribute my own compassion to the entire community.
