Bar charts are very useful when you want to show or compare quantities over time, such as long distances charges for the months July, August, and September. For department supplies costs, I would use a pie chart. A pie chart can quickly show each department’s spending on supplies relative to other departments. The pie chart can also show each department’s spending as a percentage of the $3000 supply budget for the fiscal year. 3. With a bi-annual sales report there are usually 3 ways that you can present the information. First one is to present it in a pie graph where it is divided into different sections that have spent the most money. Second is to present it in a bar graph representing again how much each department has spent but in this graph it is simple enough to follow the graph rather than a pie one. Third option is to display in an excel format would can clearly outline each department, expenditure and annual sales etc.
