2. What are your goals for the future? How do you plan to achieve them?
Dedication and a Plan are two components needed to achieve my ultimate goals and hit milestones throughout my years at Texas A&M International University. However, growing up in a large household of six people with only one source of income is extremely difficult due to other expenses they are responsible to pay and the increasing amount of pressure my parents face every day will, unfortunately, become detrimental. Furthermore, my older sister is currently attending university but with a small amount of help from my parents who scrape up however much money they can. Moreover, both of my parents will not be able to help me pay for my college tuition for they are balancing a tremendous amount of bills to relieve themselves from an overwhelming
Since graduation, can you share where you are in accomplishing the goals you have set for yourself?
If you earned your baccalaureate degree prior to this past June, please indicate your plans for the upcoming academic year.
Year round schooling, the name seems much worse than it is. A typical belief of year round schooling is that students attend more days at school because they are in school a year long, but instead they break the long three-month break into smaller pieces. Year round schooling provides a more beneficial education to students of all ages. With the all year schedule students do not spend a long period away from the classroom; therefore, students are able to maintain their knowledge. Traditional schooling is still widely implemented among the United States even though the statistics are proven against it. Year round education needs to be incorporated in every school system; it has been around for over a century with numerous known advantages over
Do I feel that school should be year round? I feel that school should not be year round. I feel that students and staffs need breaks from each other. I feel students need free time from school and should be able to let their brain rest. I feel that students and teachers need vacation time to leave out of and do things they need to do and want to do. If school was year round I feel the dropout rate would increase, because students will get tired of going to school. I feel that people will have less time to spend with family members and friends.
2.What is one long term goal that you have on your agenda to achieve in the next 6 months to a year?
The idea of year round school is becoming an increasingly popular idea as this calendar is beneficial to both students and teachers. Under this new calendar, students attend school twelve months rather than nine months. Instead of having a long summer break, which can cause learning loss, students have frequent short breaks throughout the year. The effect of constantly learning throughout the year causes students to improve in test taking. When there is a long summer break, not all students have the same opportunities, creating a gap in achievements. Furthermore, teachers have more time to prepare lessons and teach them. Ultimately, students are more likely to excel in school with this new calendar.
Schools have been around since 1837. The first one was created by Horace Mann. He was also called, “Father of the Common School Movement” (Why was school created?). His idea was to have the teacher create a curriculum to teach to the students. School are still like this today. They’re are based off a curriculum and they must teach it in that school year. Each school year is 180 days within about nine months and three months off in the summer.
Congress has tried making all schools year round because America falls behind other countries academically. This would be fine, but for me and the other kids there are certain needs that year round schools do not understand that they’re lacking. For example, educators need time to prepare for the lessons they need to do for the next school year, taking a break from stress can nullify mental and physical damage to children, and without extended breaks kids they will be burnt out and less motivated by the start of the new year. I feel strongly attached to the sayings of John Lubbock, a famous British philosopher, who said “Earth and sky, woods and fields, lakes and rivers, the mountain and the sea, are excellent schoolmasters, and teach us more
Seeing as I am a freshman, I can only discuss my expectations and notions for the coming year. Currently, my emotions swing on a pendulum between anxiety and eagerness, but I am pleased to admit the latter outweighs the former. I am enthused to live on my own, nervous about making friends, and expect collegiate academia to challenge me exceptionally more than high school, which I understand and fully accept.
I cant believe that I am finally a senior in high school it seems just like yesterday I was beginning high school. As I begin my final year I am beginning to realize that this year I will be faced with many responsibilities and will make tons of memories. But I hope that I am able to make my senior year the best yet. Through this final year I hope to have passing grades in all of my classes, to win pep rallies, and to have perfect attendance.
Five years can be a very long time depending on who you ask. I believe if you are having enjoyable time those years will pass by in a heartbeat. That is the reason why I would like to become a physical education teacher for the next five years. Being around kids and seeing them be active brings joy to my heart. I have always been involved in sports and physical activity that has taught me many lessons in life. I would like spread my knowledge to kids and show them the importance of being physically active. I would also like to be a baseball coach for the next five years of my life as well. Baseball has always been my passion since I was a kid. Throughout my 15-year baseball career, I have developed many skills that made me very successful.

The future holds many surprises in which case can be your dream job that has been taken by machines due to the increase of technology. However there might be jobs that may look absurd or unconventional but might exist in the future. To get the best out of the future, I would use my three favorite things and create or do a job that will fit in with the future. I have chosen to do agriculture, art, and robotics. Out of these things, I have decided to engineer robots that run on plants, tends to gardens, and topiary. I think the more our society grows, the more usage of clean energy is needed. Our current source of fuel is not renewable fuel. Our concerns for the planet include the decrease of our carbon footprint. This will help in multiple ways while enjoying the job.
