My College and Career Choices Essay

These colleges are both located in oversized, populated areas which could have positive and negative impacts while going to school at these campuses. One negative factor would be that there is always a lot of traffic in these cities, Cleveland and Columbus, which therefore could make me late to my classes. On the other hand, these cities are home to all kinds of entertainment and activities to do outside of the campus. Last, both Case and Ohio State offer financial aid which is a very important factor when deciding which school to go to. I will need help paying for college because of the high prices of tuition so hopefully the financial aid these colleges provide will help me.

To start my college search I started out by researching information on top rated business colleges in Ohio. I knew I wanted to stay in Ohio but also wanted to get the best possible education while staying here. Many colleges came up on many different sights, the Carl H. Linder College of Business was one of them. This college had great reviews from almost all sights I found and with its numbers showing the college was on the rise, which is a good sign for a possible incoming student, you know that you will be getting a very good education that is valued by employers after graduation. The colleges I will be comparing and contrasting are East Georgia College and Georgia Southern. East Georgia College is a four-year state college of the University System of Georgia. Located in Swainsboro,Ga. It's a public college with about 28 students per class.The demographics of the school is mixed races.To get in the college you need to be have graduated high school, and taken the SAT or Compass test with an good score. The college does not have on campus transportation like public buses, so you would have to have your own transportation.The total cost for a 1 year tuition would be $4,011. Choosing a college as a future student is a difficult process for some. There are certain qualities that must meet every student’s needs. For example, how far away from home is it or how big of a school it is. Many colleges are more similar than most know. While differences can be found between colleges, similarities can be found between Indiana University, Bloomington (IU) and The Ohio State University (OSU).

I think the most important point is that the Ohio State has a very good academic reputation, which is very attractive. In my opinion, the most essential motivation, which drives people to enter college, is the willingness of study as well as obtaining a bachelor degree in whatever area they interested. And when people are willing to study in a university, they would pretty much likely to attend a university, which has an excellent reputation on research and education.

One of my favorite things about this university is that it is incredibly involved in football. They also have a spectacular medical school that I could attend after graduating. Ohio State is known for their medical school and also has many connections from doctors worldwide. This university is also a lot closer to home so it would be easier for me as well. The Ohio State University is about two hours away, which is a perfect distance to experience the full college life while still having the option to come home on the weekends. The university is ranked sixteenth best public university in the nation and first in Ohio. Ohio State has an average ACT score of 28, not too off from mine. The university also has a perfect student to teacher ratio that is 19:1. OSU is number seven in studying abroad programs. This is another one of my favorite things about this university because I love traveling. Like Duke, Ohio State has many clubs and activities that students can get involved in. In my college searching I was looking for one in Georgia. I don't want to be too far from home but not too close. One reason I don't want to be too far away is because I don't want to be too far from my family. I want to be able to go back really quick if something happens. Then again I don't want to be so close because I want to learn how to live on my own. I don't want to get stuck in my hometown forever.
