6. How could we help and take active part in community to make a difference?
There is a joy that comes with being an active member in your community. This can be as simple as volunteering in our elementary schools or as involved as serving on one of our many advisory committees. One of the most helpful things that any of our residents can do is simply passing along information about public safety or community events. 7. How do Morrisville neighborhoods compare crime-wise to neighboring towns and cities (Apex, Cary, etc.)? How is through national opioid crisis impacting Morrisville?
In December 2016, the Town of Morrisville was named the 7th safest mid-sized town in North Carolina. Our crime trends are generally confined to property crimes. We work closely with the Town of Cary and Apex to address crime trends that occur across jurisdictions. The rate of opioid related deaths has risen over the last few years. Morrisville has not been impacted by this tragic trend. However, we are working towards the goal of identifying training for our officers in the use of Naloxone (Narcan) should the need arise.

Danville, PA is a wonderful place to live as it is a small town and it has several large employers to supply good jobs, however, more small businesses are needed in the downtown and surrounding area. Danville has a history of coal and iron manufacturing but following the peak of that, it had lost several businesses and the downtown became not as busy as it was. Unfortunately, this has remained so and Danville is in need of revitalization.

1. Using symbolic interaction theory as your guide, explain how the terms “aliens” and “illegals” helped shape public opinion/attitudes in Farmingville towards Latino day laborers. What do these words mean? How did these definitions influence perceptions and behaviors?
The earliest inhabitants of Burnsville were the Mdewakanton Dakota Indians. Around 1750, Chief Black Dog established a permanent village between Black Dog Lake and the Minnesota River, near the present site of the Black Dog Power Plant. After the Dakota nation ceded land in 1851 and moved to Chief Shakopee’s village in Prior Lake, the area was settled by numerous Irish, Scottish, and Norwegian farmers from Saint Paul.
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts needs to attract other than blacks, because they are more likely to have surgery at low-quality hospitals. The hospital needs to attract Hispanics, as they were more likely to go to low-quality hospitals. The hospital has to change the way we deal with patients such as, a better approach to providing comprehensive primary care that promotes partnerships between patients and families.
I am unsure if you are aware that the plan review for the Shelbyville, Tennessee project has not been submitted. The City of Shelbyville will permit the shell building first but plans for the shell building have been submitted.
Changing from one of the smallest and oldest towns in Missouri to the third largest city in Missouri will be a huge change. The largeness of Springfield Missouri will present many opportunities to branch out, meet new people, and try new things, however, with a huge city comes a multitude of crime. The same idea applies to the school of Missouri State University. MSU is a well-rounded public college that focuses on leadership, academics, and offers a beautiful school campus, but the crime rate of the school and the surrounding city is a bit alarming.
The heroin epidemic in New Jersey has been more and more relevant in 2016 and in the past few months. There was a report earlier this year of a mother and father overdosing on heroin in a car with their toddler in the backseat. This along with other sad and tragic stories have shaped the public narrative of the heroin epidemic in New Jersey. A report last year by New Jersey Advance Media notes that the per-capita rate of 8.3 heroin-related deaths per 100,000 people is more than triple the national rate reported by the Centers for Disease Control (Hochman). Ocean County seems to be one of the impacted communities in New Jersey. The death toll in this county and many other in Jersey have been rising. Researchers have found that dealers in New Jersey are adding more Fentanyl, an opioid painkiller a hundred times more powerful than morphine, to the heroin and thus sells at higher rates because it produces a better and bigger high. And the purity of heroin in Jersey is higher than the average. The fact that drug dealers are cutting their product with deadly toxins, that make it more addictive and more dangerous and most importantly keeps the cost low. Heroin has morphine mixed in it and can be a more affordable stand in for painkillers. A bag of heroin goes for about $5 or $10 whereas painkillers go for about $40 or $50. The affordability of the drug and the addictive nature
The movie ‘‘Pleasantville’’, written, produced and directed by Gary Ross, approaches a period in America’s history which subsequent generations idealise as a better and more stable society. He portrays this time period of the 1950s as a time when people and life were less complicated; a time when everyone knew their place in society. However, as the film ironically shows, this was a time when people were more ignorant, racist and most certainly sexist. Ross demolishes this illusion of the great 1950s American society by showing how its defects are gradually changed from black and white to colour. Ross shows that ‘change is inevitable’ once a catalyst for change is added to the ordered life of “Pleasantville”. Once David and Mary-Sue begin

Instead of my town having its own public transportation bus, the nearest bus from Evansville, Metropolitan Evansville Transit, could add the town I live in to their route. The second solution would be my original idea of opening a bus station in the middle of town. The third option would be having a taxi drive around instead of a bus.
