Residents are being asked to decide if whether the city should require bars to stop selling alcohol at 2 a.m instead of 5 a.m. Indicating how the city Commission should handle the prickly issue, they mention how Miami Beach Mayor Phillip Levine believes in the stop of selling alcohol at late hours. Officer Villalpando was dispatched to a juvenile problem 1608 10th St. Caller, Nicholas Allen advised that his son, Kaden Boyd (14) who was currently on house arrest, “cut” off his ankle monitor and was last seen getting into a black passenger car. Officer Villalpando arrived and met with Mr. Allen who told him that Kaden had been missing once before while in the Austin area, and that Kaden was involved with the criminal element believing his son is traveling to Austin with an older male, Michael Tabler who had recently been arrested.

On Friday, February 26th and Saturday the 27th, South East High School held a debate event for high school students to discuss a topic. 450 students from schools across L.A. county attended this debate tournament. This was the second debate event I have attended and I really enjoyed it, and have never experienced anything like that before. More excited than nervous I came into it ready for the challenge, especially after hearing i was going to judge a debate alone, I took it as a way to learn more. I judged two rounds on the first day of Friday the 26th, arriving at 4:00pm, attended the judge training, which was helpful in explaining the debate format, topic, and scoring. Soon after, we all set off to find our rooms and begin round one!
