While Marymount’s Mission is similar, it has different fundamentals and ground. From Marymount University’s mission statement

Loyola University Chicago has various opportunities that help engage students in different activities that can help them raise awareness of the outside world environment. Loyola’s mission statement states that “We are Chicago 's Jesuit Catholic university- a diverse community seeking God in all things and working to expand knowledge in the service of humanity through learning, justice, and faith.” Under this statement, students are reminded of engaging themselves with the community and provide service that can help the community and demonstrate God’s faith over all purposes. Through the commitment of “learning, justice, and faith”, as a student, I am inspired to do more as a person for the community. As an international student, I am very grateful of being able to participate in the Engaged Learning Community of ISOM (Information Systems Operations Management), and earn more knowledge and awareness of the case study provided in class.
I have lived in North Carolina for almost fifteen years now. Throughout this period I have seen the abundance of opportunities here in North Carolina especially in education. There are countless numbers of great colleges and universities, however, since I have lived in the mundane city of Greensboro I feel constricted in my environment. Wilmington, being close to the sandy beaches of Wrightsville beach and home to a great university has led me to consider moving east. UNC Wilmington, being the state’s coastal university reflects the values of numerous things such as ethics, integrity, and diversity. These values, as listed in the mission statement, demonstrate how UNC Wilmington aims to excell an individual through a great variety of baccalaureate,
I believe Marist is a good match for me because it offers many it offers an excellent business program. The student activities that are offered are another reason why I’d like to go to Marist. I’m interested in the business club especially and by being involved in that club I believe it would lead me in successful path in my career. The trips the clubs takes to New York City interest me because by seeing the companies their I’d have more knowledge of what real life business in the career I choose looks like. The average classroom sizes are relatively small, which not many colleges or universities offer and I think that it very important in order to get the best education possible. The small size provides me with a better learning opportunity
While a great place to earn a solid education in any field of study, the school is dedicated to its students spending their days serving God while they earn their educations. The place I will soon call my alma mater, Belmont University, is a place to discover one’s passions and dreams. At this institution, you begin to define yourself, find your true interest, and mold yourself into a God-fearing leader. Just as any other colleges, students transform into leaders, but what makes Belmont sets apart from the rest is our foundation. Belmont strives for their students to transform the world with disciplined intelligence, compassion, courage and faith. I am grateful to be at an university that has molded me to be a firm believer of what I am passionate about, and taught me to use that energy to go from here to anywhere.
Community college is a great institution for students to start their educational journey. Especially when they do not have the funds or lack some of the prerequisite that a university would require. Community college was created to serve the community, traditional and non-traditional students with the best higher education and lifetime learning opportunities. The faculty and staff members at a community college is there to provide leadership in education while going above and beyond to recognize the needs of the students and the community by providing excellent educational programs and support services that are available to all who have the opportunity to take advantage of them. “Student services now include recruitment and retention, counseling, student activities, student health, financial aid, academic support, career centers, transfer centers, and supplemental services such as transportation, child care, and services tailored for specific populations of students” (Cohen, Brawer, & Krisker, 2014, pg. 209). My philosophy in fulfilling the role and mission of the community college, is to establish the mission, vision, goals and values to guide all students on their journey to strive to become successful both in school and in today’s economy.
Earning my undergraduate degree from Seattle University has opened a lot of doors and has expanded my ability to reflect on my life, my intellectual progress and my purpose to find direction. My persistence and determination to advance my education is to increase my knowledge, to become a successful leader and to enhance my contribution to society. In order for me to have a true academic rigor, I believe having the integrity of the Jesuit teaching could help me understand and guide me through the process. I have always found a personal and a professional sense of purpose from a Jesuit tradition.
