Writing can be very hard especially for first time writers. There are a lot of things and process that they need to undergo in order to master the art of writing. However, it will be hard for them also to accomplish their writing task if they don't have the attitude towards writing just like most writers do.
Aside from the whole process in writing, a person must require a sense of creativity in handling their ideas and since this is an art, their personality matters. If they don't like to write, how can they finish the whole text or the whole composition?

You really should. After all, it's difficult to hit a mark when there's nothing to aim for. It's true for any endeavor and, whether you like it or not, it holds for writing too.
Long-Term Goals
If you ever entertained any ideas about writing professionally, you will want to look at setting long-term goals as a writer. Create a big picture: what kind of writing will you be doing further down the road? Would you like to a published novelist with a library of books to your credit? Do you intend to be a nationally-acclaimed reviewer for cultural magazines? What is it you are hoping to achieve for the future?
Annual And Monthly Goals
While long-term goals tend to focus on the big picture, these next categories of goals involve more easily actionable things. Surely, there are very specific actions you can take now towards anything you believe you can achieve within the next twelve months, aren't there?
Short-Term Goals
Short-term goals are immediate things you can perform right now that will bring you closer to your long-term, annual and monthly goals. Whether that's finishing one page of your novel every evening, finding the best writing software or producing 5,000 words of text for your workday, these consist of easily achievable targets that will bring you closer to your larger

Everyone knows what writing is to one extent or another, but we all have different definitions of how it should be done and varying degrees of seriousness about the art. We all have a process of writing, but each is unique to ourselves and our own experiences. Annie Dillard and Stephen King are two well known authors who have published many pieces, two of which describe how they view the writing process and let their readers get a peek of what goes on through their minds when they write. These two pieces are Dillard’s The Writing Life and King’s “What Writing Is.”
These need to be both long-term and short-term goals, “i.e. six months, one-year, three years, and ten-year” goals need to be set so that the strategy for reaching these goals can be outlined in the plan. Most businesses recommend setting the long-term goals first and then setting short-term goals, those goals which can be reached as steps to attaining the long-term goal.
In the article “Best Practices in Teaching Writing”, Charles Whitaker outlines eight points on helping students succeed as writers. The first
I began writing with basic vocabulary and barely any sentence variety. As the year progressed, I learned to advance my vocabulary and word choice in addition to incorporating a diversity of sentence structure. Nearing the end of the school year, I acknowledge that I have grown and learned more about writing. I anticipate that I will receive even more arduous writing assignments that require more research and time. Although it will be challenging, I feel confident that I will do well because I feel well prepared from all I’ve done this year. As I grow older, I will have to continue to write. I know I can take the knowledge I’ve learned this year and apply it to future papers for years to
“Once you take time to figure out your beliefs about you as a writer, and about writing itself, you can begin to see where you hold yourself back from actually writing in the first place (Litchfield-Fink).” The article “The Real Reason Why You Can’t Write” by Esther Litchfield-Fink, is going over how people that want to write or be writers, are limited by their beliefs. Esther goes over a “secret” about writing that helps overcome this problem and can make anyone a successful writer. With being optimistic and having positive beliefs you can accomplish your goal of being a writer.
Many lose their confidence when they begin writing since it is difficult for them to get down their thoughts in a truthful and interesting way
This goal is a long term goal. The things I will do to lead up to this goal is to read books or story to learn how to write one. Also I will start writing at a young age so when I get older I will have all the information that I will need. Then I will go to college and learn how to write and other things to do with writing. Next, I will ask my resources to get the things I need to do. Finally I will get people to read it and what
Currently, I am crossing a huge bridge from high school writing to college writing. Which means there is going to be plenty of room for my writing skills to progress in various ways. After putting thought into where my weaknesses may be in my writing I have arrived to a conclusion of 5 personal goals to improve my essays. My 5 goals will be the pillars that keep my bridge up and from collapsing, by the use of these 5 goals I will easily transition from high school writing to college writing.

As a child and even as a teenager one tends to make dreams and set goals for life. On occasion these goals are far stretched and sometimes even fairy-tale like, we tend to see life through a rose-colored glass, not taking into account the many sidetracks life throws our way. At that stage in life our goals tend to be less focused and somewhat unreachable. However, the process of growing up, or maturing, tends organized and center our goals, we learn to make compromises and set goals for our goals. There are different types of goals, short term and long term. I have learned to separate the many goals I have into three main categories: family, professional and personal.
Fortunately, writing is a skill that can be both taught and practiced to a point
Writing has always been something I dread. It’s weird because I love talking and telling stories, but the moment I have to write it all down on paper, I become frantic. It’s almost as if a horse race just begun in my mind, with hundreds of horses, or words, running through my mind, unable to place them in chronological order. Because I struggle to form satisfying sentence structure, it takes me hours, sometimes even days, to write one paper. It’s not that I think I’m a “bad writer,” I just get discouraged easily. Needless to say, I don’t think highly of my writing skills. When I was little I loved to both read and write. I read just about any book I could get my hands on, and my journal was my go to for my daily adventures. Although it’s
