On July 28, 1935, the first porotype of the B-17 or also known as the B-299 took off from Boeing Field in south Seattle on its first ever test flight (Boeing “B-17”). Seattle Times reporter Richard Smith dubbed the new plane, with its many .30 caliber machine-guns, the “Flying Fortress,” (qtd.in Boeing). A name that Boeing quickly adopted and trademarked for the gigantic bomber (Boeing “B-17”). The U.S. Army Air Corps designated the plane as the B-17. On April 11, 2014 The Florida Orchestra performed Wolfgang Mozart’s Symphony No. 28 in C major, K, 200, David Diamond’s Symphony No. 4, and Johannes Brahms Quartet No.1 for Piano and Strings in G minor at the David A. Straz Center for the Performing Arts, Ferguson Hall in Tampa, Florida. Gerard Schwarz, guest conductor, led the Florida Orchestra for each of the compositions. There are many different types of coasts that exist throughout the United States. The south shore of Long Island has a unique types of coast known as a barrier beach. Barrier beaches are long narrow land forms that are composed of sand and other lose sediments. These sediments are brought together by the actions of waves, currents and storm surges. Barrier beaches are subject to constant changes by the same forces. Sand is constantly eroded in one area an deposited in another. Barrier coasts are important for a number of reasons; they protect the mainland of Long Island from the open ocean and flooding during storms, for recreational use and the unique ecosystems which exist on barrier

The “Fall Choral Concert” was held in Pasadena City College, on Friday November 4, 2016 at 8pm. The concert was an hour and half long and was performed in the Westerbeck Recital Hall (CA 140). The performs of this concert were mostly students of Pasadena City College, whom according to their teacher and conductor Mr. Guerrero managed to put an amazing performance in only 6 weeks.

Every city has the five themes of geography, which are location, place, human environment interaction, region and movement. Just like every other city, Los Angeles has them too! The location of Los Angeles is 34.05 latitude and -118.24 longitude.

According to the 2014 Census, Orange County revealed the total population had reached 3,086,331 with the average age of 36.4 years. The racial makeup of Orange County was 1,942,675(62.9%) White, 50,766 (1.6%) African American, 11,852 (0.4%) Native American and Alaskan, 573,661 (18.6%) Asian, 9,472 (0.3%) Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander, 387,005 (12.5%) from other races, and 127,799 (4.2%) from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1,012,973 persons (33.7%) which is predominantly of Mexican origin (U.S. Census Bureau,

Hispanic origin is next with 2,336,076 or 28.6 percent, and black/African American non-Hispanic only constituting 22.8 percent or 1,861,295. Asian non-Hispanic had 12.6 percent of the population or 1,028,119 persons, non-Hispanic of two or more races 1.8 percent or 148,676 persons, and some other race non-Hispanic 1.0 percent or 78,063.

Long Branch Middle School is a very urban school where diversity is predominant in all the departments and classrooms. In my observation, 75% of the students are Latinos or with Latino descent (first generation), 20% of students are black and the 5% remaining are white. This is because the vast majority of people living in Long Branch are Brazilian, Mexican or somewhere where Spanish is the main language spoken at home.

This concert is performed in the Avery Fisher hall within the Lincoln Center in New York City. It was performed on July 29, 2008. The orchestra that is performing is the 42nd Mostly Mozart Orchestra. The conductor is Louis Langrée. The two pieces being performed in this concert is Mozart's Symphony No. 40 and Mahler’s Das Lied von der Erde.

Hispanics comprise California’s largest minority group. They make up 37.6% of the total population (US Census, 2011). The term Hispanic defines a

million in 2003 to 46.2 million in 2014. This represents an increase of 29%.The Hispanic

The community that I will be describing is the city of Long Beach. In this city there are many people of age and ethnicity. This city is very diverse in having many people of different cultures and backgrounds. Downtown Long Beach is where people go to eat, have fun and hang out near the Pike. At the Pike is where you’ll find a lot of young people going to the movies or shopping. In this city it is filled with young adults and they are the majority of the community. A lot of the young adults have jobs and there are some that are going to school. Younger adults are more prone to trying new things which sometimes can lead into a health issue. In this city I will be discussing a main health problem that might be relatable to other cities. The health problem that will be discussed is the use of tobacco products in young adults. Some products are cigarettes, e-cigarettes, vapes, chewing tobacco, and hookah. These products are used daily by young adults in this community.
